Weight loss
1 month for ever 10 pounds (max 10 pounds) + 2-3 months. That is what I would expect, but it can take more or less time. You simply need to not give up.
Eat low fat, avoid high sugar foods, add muscular exercise in with some cardio.
You will lose some at first (fat and maybe water), gain some (muscle), then gradually lose more (fat loss and muscle gain)
Remember, muscle takes energy to simply exist, you want some muscle trust me.
I have the opposite problem, I cannot gain weight, muscle or fat :( and I want more of both.
For motivation... I suggest getting together with people that want to lose weight too or want to exercise with you. Don't let your exercising limitations keep you away from them, they WANT to be around you when you exercise, and they WANT to encourage you and see you achieve :)

Drastically cut back on the carbs. Eat lean meat and fast burning carbs like vegetables. Exercise frequently even if it is hard for you to get started. Just start doing something really easy until you grow to enjoy exercise. Get a healthy amount of sleep. Cut out soda and alcohol.

run. swim. aerobics.Start off by fixing your diet. Take it upon yourself to learn of the foods you shouldn't be eating.
