Eat lots of egg whites and low fat cottage cheese. Canned tuna in water and fat free refried beans and tofu are cheap too. Eat tons of vegetables and salads. Fresh fruits are good. Don't eat any white flour or sugar. Only eat whole grain products and sweet potatoes, and try not to overdo the carbs. Drink water and tea. Have some healthy fats like 1 egg yolk with your whites, a few almonds, or a bit of avocado. Put a little olive oil on your salad. Eat several times a day and don't let yourself get too hungry in between meals.
I went vegetarian and lost 7lbs in a week and a half, doing everything else like exercise the same. It was mainly in my tummy and thighs. If you want more drastic weight loss go vegan and work out every day. Just make sure to take your vitamins and eat protein like tofu or soy protein, whichever you like. How much do you want to lose and in how much time?
Go vegetarian and workout. Its that simple. And don't get too caught up on the weight. Muscle weighs more then fat and I take it the fat is what your really wanting to lose. So weight is not the enemy its the fat.

I agree with RavinJade. It isn't about the weight, but more the fat. I've been exercising and eating better for a while and I look visibly thinner, but my numbers of weight loss aren't that high because I have gained so much muscle.
