Play a sport you like... easiest way for poeple to exersise because others keep you accountable to show up and also have fun while doing it =D
Try cross fit instead of just running or weight training. It is a cross bewteen weight training and endurance. Extreamly good for losing fat and toneing. An example of a cross fit kind of workout would be (part 1) 4 sets of 20s situps 10 rest 20 squats 10s restwith no break bewteen sets. (part 2) 50 pushups ( chest must touch the ground on every pushup... modified pushups if normal ones are too hard ) 50 bumbell swings 40 pushpus 40 bumbell swings 30 pushups 30 bumbell swings 20 pushups 20 bumbell swings 10 pushups 10 bumbell swings. Make sure that you really warmpu the areas that you are going to be working out before starting. ( 15-20 min for warm up and stretching ) oh and makesure you have a good cool down and stretch so that you are not too sore the next day =D
As for eatting try eatting a fruit every time you want to drink pop and eatting baked fries chips and homemade stuff instead of fried or fast food... =) DO NOT keep junk food inside the house... so that the next time a craving hits you it needs to be strong enough to make you go all the way to the store to get some.
Drink lots of water before eatting and eat slowly. Sometimes your body can't tell the difference bewteen hunger and thirst. It takes 10-20 min for your body to realize that you are full so the slower you eat the less chance you'll over eat =)

Unfortunately, Hollywood and gimmick products (as well as living in a fast-food nation) have given rise to silly ideas like the idea of weight loss that is quick (or easy). This is simply not the case. Not to mention, gaining or loosing a lot of weight rapidly is unhealthy and has consequences. Definitely DON'T take pills or starve yourself. Keep eating fruits, veggies, and limiting your fats and keep exercising for yourself. Don't restrict yourself to just the weekends, go to the gym twice during the week. It will take a little time, but stick with it, it will happen.
To tell the truth, it sounds like you are living relatively healthily already, and that is what is going to bring your body back to it's natural, healthy, weight.
I think what it might be is that, I believe everyone's body has a natural weight that it always wants to find, and that weight would be the right weight for you when you were eating a healthy and varied diet and exercising regularly. Your body knows what's best for it, what is most efficient and best for you personally. If you're eating right, and exercising, that's very good, and I don't think there's too much that you can do that's healthy that loses weight quickly. We're not naturally meant to drop 10 or 20 pounds in 2 weeks, it's supposed to be a gradual thing, I think, so I wouldn't worry. Just keep doing what you're doing, it sounds right, and you will lose the weight naturally, down to whatever weight your body decides is best based on how much you eat, what you eat, and how much you exercise.
EXERCISE better, and I don't mean frequency, I mean intensity, get a heart rate monitor, work in the top end of your heart. To do that, get a real big staircase and climb it, running, as fast as you can, 4 times a week... In a month you will see the difference. If you start eating more, it's normal, because this is a very exhausting exercise...

-Exercise for 30-60 minutes a day doing cardio;running, jogging, speed walking, dancing, swimming, jump roping etc
-Drink water.Replace juices, coke and other beverages with water
-Replace sweet foods with fruits(and/or vegetables)
-Start eating a salad once a day(with dinner).I've been eating a salad a day for 3 weeks.
-Eat breakfast and if you are not a breakfast person(like me) at least eat a slice of whole wheat toast with peanut butter or EVOO.Or eat eggs(generally no more than 2x a week, for healthy purposes) or oatmeal or Malt-O-Meal or Cram of Wheat...something healthyDrink lots of water and exercise at least a half hour - an hour a day.
Eating fruits and vegetables is definitely good, and make sure to eat a variety of whatever else you eat. In general it's not healthy to eat the same exact thing every day.
I've made a general exercise plan for myself which has been pretty helpful so far. Really, as long as you stay active and take unhealthy sugary/fatty/greasy foods out of your diet, you can't go wrong.try sparkpeople.com - my whole family has been using it and it's helped a lot. It's like Jenny craig, except free, and you don't have to do it in front of a group of people :P
