My mom is gonna have a hard time losing control?

I'm in my last year of high school and after I graduate, ill be moving in with my dad or going away for college/university. At the moment I live with my mom half and the time and my dad half the time. My mom is a super control freak. Ill be 18 when I graduate and really don't feel like like I should be under any of her control since I won't be living with her and will be classified as an adult.

Difficult situation. She will always be your mother, and you need to respect her. True you will be 18 and able to go out into the world and like all mom's she will probably find that difficult. However I think her motives are probably more than "control freak" hopefully it is that she loves you and wants good things for you. Keep that in mind when dealing with her.

On a practical note, if she is going to help pay for anything for you, then I think she has some say in what you are doing. If not, then probably not so much.
