Guys: to what extent would you put a girl you really before school/work?

The question says it all but to what extent would you put a girl you really like before school/work?

I'll give an example: let's say you have work/a meeting early the next morning or a final the next day or a huge paper due the next day and the girl you really like wants to come over that night, would you? or would you suggest another night? How would you handle that situation?

I don't want judgmental responses, this is just a theme I've noticed and I am curious to see what guys would do.

I'd suggest another night. Not that I don't want to be with her, its just important to prepare and get ready for something that could be important the next day that could make or break my career.

I wouldn't skip work for a theoretical girlfriend, but I would put off a few assignments if I am able to do so in order to spend time with her.

It doesn't. Every time I've put school before a girl I like, she's suddenly taken off the market.
