My little sister Amy whose 16 was at school last Friday, just a few days back from vacation. And a 17 year old guy went and grabbed her under her skirt, like grasping her bum. He grabbed hard and felt between her legs too, like really molesting her!

Well she turned round and hauled off and kicked him really hard, in the groin! She was wearing steel-toed boots.

Anyway the guy fell down and cried. Amy then shouted at him calling him a perv and told him that she hoped his balls popped. The teacher saw this and pulled her into the office.

My parents went to the school on Tuesday. The principle decided that a one week suspension for Amy is appropriate. However the boy is also going to have a one week suspension put on his record. Although he was unlikely to be able to return to school too soon anyway, due to the extent of his injuries!

Amy really kicked him hard, and with such hard shoes. The boy had surgery Friday and the doctors repaired his left testicle that had been ruptured, although due to the damage sustained the testicle will not be able to function. The boys right testicle had to be removed, due to it having multiple ruptures. He also had damage to the tissue of his penis.

The boys mother and my parents have actually managed to come to an agreement about this matter now though, and the police agreed not to get involved. So that should be the end of it. Amy is not happy at being suspended though, as she feels that it was self-defense and their were people who saw the incident that backed her story up.

@larry69 Yup. Technically, it would have been within her rights to have citizens arrest-ed him (if her jurisdiction's laws allowed for it) and had the legal consequences fall on him over & above what he already faces. But that is not the case.

Unfortunately, school bureaucrats interfered and disciplined her. Had she known her rights and consciously decided not involve the police that would have been an act of mercy and he (and this mother) should be grateful. Instead, she was punished the authorities supposed to protect her. She has the right to be indignant.

The guy who "got-off easy" & his mother should be grateful for him not being incarcerated and should petition for her penalty to be cancelled. For public safety, the case should be put on police record, though without a charge. That way, if he decides to do it again, law enforcement won't treat the repeat-offense lightly, like this first offense.

The testicles can withstand about 110 pounds of force before rupturing, the average soccer player can generate a kick of about 60 pounds of force and your sister was a 16 year old girl. Even with steel toe boots all that does is ensure the most energy transfer possible meaning even at best she could only transfer about 60 pounds of force and this is before factoring in that if she hit both testicles (as she would have had to done if this was one kick) which means the force would have been split as well as the fact that since they (for lack of a better term) dangle the amount of force transferred to the testicles themselves would be considerably less. So yeah, no need to make things up. However IF she was physically assaulted then she would have every right to physically assault the guy back in defense.

If she just kicked him in the groin and nothing further happened, I'd say it's fair enough although vigilantism is NOT the RIGHT thing to do. But since she kicked hard enough that he had to go to the hospital, she overstepped fairness by far.

I'm a little bit sorry for the guy, but he brought it over himself, so I don't care too much about him. He initiated it, knew the risks and still did it. It's his own fault, but I don't think that much was deserved.

She may have been wrong to insult him when he was already down (assuming he exhibited sign of contrition), but she was not wrong to physically assault him when he did the same physically and sexually. She either should not have been punished or should have been punished much more lightly for the verbal insult.

The guy should have learned to never sexually harass/molest/assault others, but this experience should finally drill it into his head (and into the heads of his peers).

Self-defense cases are always dicey, because "appropriate amount of force" is so hard to define.
If she had grabbed his butt, and he had busted her knee or something, it would look much worse because it's a guy crippling a girl, despite being the exact same case, so take that into consideration for whatever it's worth.
I think he was definitely asking for it, but I would not have crippled someone over that if it happened to me. I think a few elbows to the face would get the same message across. Then again, maybe she wasn't capable of fighting him without fighting dirty.
