Need advice about Ex Girlfriend wants to meet up, while she has a new Boyfriend?

First time asking something like this online but why not, story is dated this lass for about 3 years she broke the relationship off and i was heartbroken took me nearly a year to start even dating and see other women again we talked now and then and we would have the occasional hook up after we broke up but nothing more than that. Then out of the blue in the past few weeks she gave me a text and we started talking again for the first time in about 4months, she told me how things are going for her that she has a new Boyfriend, job etc, then she came out with how much she misses me and wants to have a catch up, she asked if she could ring me up cause it been that long since we talked properly and we talked on the phone for a couple of hours and lately she been going on about how her current relationship is not working out and that she can't she her self with this guy for much longer telling me everything about whats wrong.
So she wants to meet up for a drink and have a catch up she also mentioned about crashing at mine depending how the night goes but i personally just don't want to be that guy she has as a rebound or to prop her up if things are not working out for her cause part of me loves her and always will and i think seeing her will make things a lot harder for my self and bring back all these old feelings i have for her after taking so long for me to move on and there no guarantee she won't just palm me off again and leave me down in the dumps while she has had her cake and eaten it and then blank me for months until she upset again and wants another catch up drink.

Honestly.. i think you shouldn't! she is obviously not happy with the guy that she is with and is LOOKING for you in the new guy. I have been there and done that. took me 3 years to realize that i shouldn't be finding my ex in a new guy but in fact i should be with someone who is different and unique. If i really loved my ex then i would of never broke up with them in the first place. Im now at a point where i don't care about my ex. He is my past and now I'm looking forward to a better present + future.

I don't want you to feel like she is going to be with u again when she is probably not planning that at all. You have been hurt because of her.. dont let her do it again! its good to catch up for coffee if she was single. But the fact that she is in a relationship and tells you all this is not good.

I think she definitely misses you, and is now realizing that she shouldn't have let you go. Things are not working out with her boyfriend, and maybe that helped her see that. To be honest, I think that she would rather be with you, but she's afraid to leave her boyfriend too soon, in case you aren't interested in starting things up with her. Her suggesting that she stay the night may be her way of getting you interested in her again.

Clearly she still has something for you. You have to really think and decide if you think she is worth possibly going to see her, and feeling everything like you did before. Should she stay at your place? Eh probably not. I think that that will probably give too much room for either of you to get hurt in the end.

Talking somewhere public? All right, sure, as long as YOU feel comfortable with it. You can both be friends, sure, but keep her at arm's distance.

Crashing at your place? DO NOT DO THIS.

You do not want to be in situations that tempt either of you, plus you do not want to offend her boyfriend. Make sure for all three of your sakes that you overtly stay ONLY her friend and DON'T get into a situation where there's the possibility for something to happen.
