How to spot a rich college guy?

How to spot a rich college guy if he doesn't really show off much and likes to stay down-to-earth? Would he hang out in the city's elite bars and clubs? Would he attend the expensive concerts? And what about his dressing sense? And they would be living in a good area, right? Because now a days, even guys who are not much wealthy can flaunt good accessories and cars for the sake of Facebook pictures.

P. S.- I don't want to grab a rich guy and that's why I am asking it to you. Lol XD It's for some other purpose.

If they come for a wealthy family they will likely have a nice car like a Mercedes or a BMW. They will have it because it is a safer vehicle, not to show off. They will have also travelled to many countries so listen for that in conversations. My kids drive those cars and have been to 12-20 countries with the oldest having been to the most.

Why do you want to spot a rich college guy? And nowadays not to many people are rich if their in college they'd be in university since it costs more to be in university than it does college.

I mean, if they belong to a good family. Not that a college guy would earn on his own. I am writing a story, and that's why I am doing some research on this character.

In USA, "college" and "university" are interchangeable words. Does "college" mean something different in Canada?

It's like--colleges are small units that come under one large unit called university.

@JackKerouac77 yeah it does over here, college is basic advance education compared to university is more advanced which normally you would go to college for your basic business degree but if you wanted to advance you would have to go to university

My son drives a Mercedes, wears Polo, never went to our tennis or pool club, his friends are mainly online but they all fly into the same city a couple times a year to spend the week together (usually in June they go to our beach condo) but his friends aren't rich and he never really let them know he was.

In my college you would know whose rich by the amount of money they spend on their lunch and sometimes the way they dress. For example the rich Arabs in my college goes to the more expensive cafeteria called The Bistro.

I don't, but all of my upperclassmen engineering friends do have it happen often enough. Immediately when you mention your major that's all some girls seem to care about. Happens to the med guys even more. @CommieDearest

Brand new, maybe not, but recent hand me down from mom and dad. iPhone 6, maybe if that was important to them but don't confuse needing to have the very newest with rich. They can have what they want when they want so they don't need to have the latest if they don't want it, that maybe someone who is trying to look rich.
