Is there really a sweatpants phase, have you done this after a breakup?
Is the after breakup sweatpants phase a real thing?

No, the fuck? I'm sad for like 40 minutes. Then I get a fresh haircut, workout until my muscles can't take anymore, play sports and try to make a shit ton of money. Bitch will be begging for me within the same week, calling my phone thinking imma answer but I'm ignoring that.
You can't let other people control your life. You're your own person and you are unique, if a woman couldn't see the good in you it's ultimately her loss.
I don't think I'd have this face if I ever had a relationship end, but I do think it's funny that it's culturally unacceptable to wear comfortable pants in public.
Sure
Couple of weeks of hardly getting out of the appartment (exept for work)
Skipping showers on weekends. Eating junk. Basically not giving a shit.
Followed by intervention from friends, dragging me out of bed, getting all nice and dressed up to go out for dinner/drinks.
Give this guy MHO :)
this for sure
''I actually tend to make myself look better after a break up, as in put more effort into my appearance. It's not that I'm looking for attention or a new partner or something, it just makes me feel better about myself during such a crappy time emotionally.'' Cit.
Same as me.
Sweatpants? How about no pants?
No, but seriously, I don't have any sweatpants, so I said no. But doesn't mean other ladies don't do this. After a break up, I get motivated to better myself, so I exercise more than I already do, go out more, etc etc.
C, but I can't imagine going to school/work in my sweatpants. Sure, I'd wear them at home, but as soon as I'm leaving, they're coming off.

To be honest after about a day or two, I tend to be more positive and look at a break up as a way of me working on myself (inside and out).
In terms of 'sweat pants' phase, I don't tend to do that. I'll go to the gym, get fit, dress up and show him what he's missing.

Awesome GIF lol!
I've dated this guy for 2 years and 10 months, after breaking up, i wore my sweatpants, eat a lot of chocolates and ice cream, hung out with my cousin and got wasted a few times :D then started joining a gym and now i'm in better shape than ever!! o and I also love wearing sweatpants when i have PMS :D

After my heart was broken I wore sweat pants not because I was hurt but because I was running and getting back into shape. Now she wants me back she's texting my little brother to see if I wanna talk too her. Lmao I'm such an animal...
LOL love the confidence!
I love that you love my confidence
For the first few hours tbh. Then I get back on the grind. I'm probably more active right after a break up than I am usually. I tend to lose my appetite and work out a lot more
I have never done this. If anything, I dress my best after break ups to help my confidence level
Any depressing, introspective time might call for sweatpants and eating unhealthy foods watching sad movies until the bounce back stage👍
Can't say I've been in a breakup, but I tend to dress a little classy, and would actually probably dress up a little more if I were in this situation, just to improve my confidence.
I don't even own sweatpants, and I've never heard that phrase before. I would not dress down and let myself go over a breakup though.
Yes i don't really change the type of clothing i wear after a break up
never did at least not yet so.
i don't see the point of wearing sweatpants after a breakup...
yes it is I just broke up with my boyfriend a week ago and I just put actual pants back on
i mean i do this anyway. I'm sat here in my gryffindor tracksuit
gryffindor!
yeah it's real. then there's the "look what you missed out on stage" afterward to look forward to
I've never done that. if anything I probably dress cuter for a few days after.
I never wear sweatpants, so literally no it isn't, for me at least lol.
I feel like it is in the sense that when you don't have a crush or a boyfriend to impress I don't really have anyone to impress so I wear what j want which usually defaults to sweatpants
Eh if I'm upset about it I don't wear all too flattering of clothes but to each their own
Sure. Although it's possible that I just wore an oversized shirt and I only did it at home.
I definitely went through a very long period of wearing baggy clothes and feeling sorry for myself.
it takes a real man to admit that to himself :)
