there is this girl that I met at a family/friends get together at a cousin's house. We didn't talk much, but then I coincidentally saw her two weeks later at an unrelated event which I thought was really surprising, I did notice she was staring at me a lot, but it could have been nothing.
Ever since then, I've been talking to her on facebook, and texting. She's gone through periods of hot and cold bursts, where she'd ignore me, and then a week later, message me, etc. She talks really enthusiastically on facebook and it seems she enjoys talking to me. We share a bunch of things in common, and I enjoy her humor, and from what I can tell, I love her personality. From my understanding, she seems to be really shy as she mentions it a lot. I never tried actually calling since because I am really shy, and she is really shy, I assume it would be extremely awkward for both of us. I did ask her to go with me to a movie one time, but she told me that she was going to go see it with a girl friend of hers. I never tried to ask her out again, as I assume she may have been trying to let me down easy, or that she was too shy about it and tried to avoid it.
I know that if I keep this as it is now, it will ever get anywhere. I think she is unique and special, different from a lot of other girls I've interacted with in the past. I want to take it to the next level. The problem is that I'm not sure if she would be interested in me. I assume there may at least be something, from that deep staring at the one encounter, and her responding to all my texts and teasing me. The other problem is that it appears that her parents are really close friends with my cousins parents, and I think that may cause some sort of awkwardness.
I'm also afraid that since we've been texting so much, that a face to face encounter would be really awkward at first. Even though we've seen each other in the past for very short periods. And if I call her first, she may not answer.
