Why Do people judge me because of my past?

I know everyone ain't perfect and I know for sure I ain't. I have a bad past. Every time I get to know someone I tell them about my past. And they run or never text/call back again.

So why do people run instead of talking or asking What did you do? Are you ok? Or something along them lines. I like this girl a lot just scared to tell her due to the fact that everyone runs.

Some people have the view that people never change, so if your past is rocky, your future will be too - or at least there is a good chance. People can change but it doesn't happen overnight. You don't want to conceal things necessarily but don't dwell on them either. It may not be so much the past itself but the amount of time you spend talking about it and what you say exactly. They need to know that, whatever it was, you're on your way to getting beyond it. They won't think that if you spend too much time there - or say things that indicate the problem is still with you in the present.

I know what you mean! In 1976 I chopped up a neighborhood family with an axe. I've been a tree surgeon for the past 30 years now, but when people see me coming do they say, "Oh look, here comes the ree surgeon"? NOOOOOO! It's, "Look out, here comes the axe murderer"! Life ain't fair.

Well, let me open with a joke :))If you tell them that you are an axe murderer its normal if they ran away from you :))Seriously, we can tell you fairy tailes now but the truth is :people suck! We love to judge, we love to make other people fell bad. Maybe your problem is that you open up too soon.Let them get to know you better and then, when you tell them YOUR PAST they will be more willing to hear you out.And I hope I don;t ask too mush, but how bad is you past?

Certain things have a horrible stigma. Some bad pasts are more Socially Accepted than others. And this depends on gender too. Ex: People are almost always less disgusted with a female molester than a male. Maybe try to talk to people who are understanding or open minded in general. Once you feel they've accepted you, tell them.

They think that your past is still a part of you, that people don't change and still are the way there were back then.

Don't tell them about your past anymore. I have a couple of huge things in the past but that's behind me now, it's not important anymore so I don't tell people about it :)

That might be a very serious scary past that your relating to them because most of time they run away. I think it needs a little bit of time before you'll be open to them about it. You need a sincere open minded girl to get you on that subject. Keep looking and don't give up trying.
