what does it mean when girlfriend gives her password to her boyfriend?

i just want to know from people here , i am talking about who are dating , what does it mean for you when some girls give their password to their boyfriends and let them check their messages
are those girls weak and manipulated by their boyfriends
or they are so much honest they just want to show and prove that they are not hiding anything from their boyfriends

I think it's a trust thing man. Like I can forget my wallet in a buddies car but not have to worry about it...

My girl gave me all her info and I never snooped around. Women kinda find it hard to do the same though. At the start of our relationship I let her look through my phone but then she would start answering text messages and reading way too much into who was texting me and what they would say. I had to make it off limits to her lol. Women bro!

Different for me. I always give all my info to my girlfriend and she's never actually gone through any of it, though she's pretty laid back and trusting.

Not even sure why I give her all my info, she doesn't ask for it anything. I just give it as sort of a show of affection and trust I suppose.

Sometimes I give passwords to people because I just really don't care either way and it's a good way to show that I don't have anything to hide... not just to boyfriends, but if my friends ask my passwords I give it to them bc I honestly don't care either way
