You have an accent because the motor neurons in your mouth are used to moving in a certain to produce the sound of your native language. When you learn a new language, the motor neurons have to learn the adapt and the adapting process will create a different sound, known as an accent.
To get rid of your accent would take a tremendous amount of effort, but you can greatly fade you accent by speaking English more than any other language. You can also learn correct pronunciation of words. And over time, your accent will fade as the motor neurons will have adapted.
My first language is french. When I first learned English, I had a thick deep slow accent. I often had to repeat myself twice. My accent was so bad that I couldn't pronounce Pennsylvania. Some blonde chick I was crushing on was from there. As I spoke English more and practiced correct pronounciation, my accent started slowly fading.
Don't get me wrong, I still have an accent, but I talk much faster and don't have to repeat myself twice. Heck, I made friends because of my accent :)
I mean if your accent sounds like a Thailand transexual, I can understand why you want to get rid of it, but if that's not the case, embrace it!

I have the same as you, but I grew up in
a mixed house so it's not that bad.
I think the best you can do is travel or live
among people who speak with another accent for a nonspecific
amount of time, then at some point you'll begin to readjust your
own way of speaking all naturally.. probably.. ^.~
It sounds really cute tbh ^^ I would say watch old black and white movies... What the actors spoke is called transatlantic, because that was he dialect that was taught in acting schools. It's also really easy to understand. I don't have an accent here, but I am sure that if I went to the U. K. I'd have a strong accent. Here are some other accents to chose from lol

You think a British accent is cool? LOL! I love Asian accents, and I don't understand why you want to get rid of it. It's who you are, and being Asian is very interesting, with your rich history and culture behind you, you have much to be proud of.
some may find your accent charming. if you spend most of your time around native speakers of your target language you will find that you are influenced by their way of speaking.

I was born in the South but have no Southern accent.Asian accents are cool though! I think as long as you're around people who are speaking American style English without much of an accent, you can kinda pick up on how you sound different and then change it. You just have to pay a little more attention to how they pronounce stuff.
I work and deal with people with the accent all the time. You're gonna have to speak English with people who are fluent at it regularly and it'll slowly fade away. Now the question is how do I learn to speak with your accent so I can troll people.
