Why do guys take so long to reply to emails?

I've been emailing with this guy for a little while. He usually takes like three days to email back (this is totally fine with me) but it's been like five now and it's annoying me.

I realize that this must sound dumb and desperate but it's really nagging at me lately. I guess it's because on this last email I asked him something I really want to know about him so I want to see what he says. No, it wasn't anything threatening or serious it was just a simple question that I was curious about. I asked him what he was into besides some things I already know. Is that so wrong? I bet I'm over thinking this but could it be because last time I took three days because I was busy and didn't check for a few days?

So I wonder why you guys take a while to reply? Is it like when you get a girl's number and wait a few days to call?

Your last email seems bland - I mean... Why send out something generic like "Hey, what do you like" Here's my thoughts:

"Hey what do you like" :

- to eat?

- to drive?

- in women?

- to watch?

- to listen to?

etc

What I am saying, is that you're emails are coming "over-the-top" when you are trying to get to know someone. If you want to know what they like or otherwise, simply make a time to get to meet him and depending on your interactions you two can meet up again.

P.s. on average, I do this to women that I am not thoroughly interested in.

This is not a guy thing. I honestly don't know what his intentions are.. Either he doesn't want to look "desperate" in his view, if he immediately responds you.. Or he's busy.. Or he just doesn't see you as much of a priority.. i.e. he's not that into you.

girls can be the same way , like there was this girl I knew from work and we were friends and talked a lot but when I'd send her emails about things she'd never email me back and actually during the 2 years I knew her and were fairly clsoe friends with her she never once emailed me back but we talked a lot in person , I don't know why but it was weird . some people just aren't big on emailing back .
