What do you think a high salary is?

Im wondering what others think a high salary is? Also what salary they would be happy to live on? For me I see a high salary as something around USD 500,000 a year. For me I am happy with around USD 100,000 a year of salary.

Only 5% of Americans make $100K or more a year. You can make $100K with the right education, but you're going to need quite a bit of connections to make $500K.

It depends on what tax you pay.

If you're paying 70% tax, then 100K per year isn't that much.

you wouldn't pay around 28% in federal taxes plus state an local tax so tops you're paying 40% but that's still a good living

I'm going to be a lawyer so I hope to make at least 100k a year, to me that is decent, to me over 150 is more than that, over 200 is quite high in my eyes

500,000 a year that's a lot of schooling the only job I know that starts at that is a corporate drug lawyer but they you have to have a phd in biochemist and have a degree in patent law

IP attorneys start at about $120K, you get about $185K after about 5 years of experience, and you can make $300K+ when you become a partner in a firm. You don't start at $500K, you're delusional man.

You also don't need a PhD. Technically you only need a bachelor's degree to practice before the USPTO, but to be competitive in the job market a masters is preferred.

its not just a patent lawyer though, a patent lawyer is not a drug patent lawyer there are worlds of difference this are the most profitable companies in the world they want you to have a phd and preferably a post doc

Im a business analyst. I've been doing it for 2.5 years.

For what kind of business? What sorts of things do you do? Is it mostly finance?

Well we have our own business, so it is work for whoever pays but often retail companies from small coffee shops to larger businesses. So its about fixing up their problems and identifying new solutions to things.
