I think women will do well. But I still feel

it will be men still earning the highest figures.

The highest salaries because it’s very challenging, you have to have a lot of mental strength, drive, gumption and ambition. Men are more likely to have it in them. No discredit to women it’s just we’re wired different. A man would have more fun and reason to being rich than a woman in my opinion.

Also don’t just support your gender 🙄🙄

One can work 60 hours a week and barely come by. It depends on the employer.

But with onlyfans being a viable side "hustle" women can outearn men somewhat easier now. Too many men have too much money to squander on random girls posting nudes (and even more men don't have the money for that. Me included).

In my profession, women are just as capable as men. However, many women take "time out" for having children and they don't advance in their career as quickly.

Not really, I don't think it has much to do with the gender... until now I was always the one earning more than the guys I dated for a longer period of time but it was more cause of the Jobs we choose to do...

Some women will earn more than men but most won't because we eventually have other priorities that will get in the way of our careers. It's just the way it is for us.

I think it's already happening, in different ways.

I've noticed in the workforce that some women are kind of just "allowed" to show up within the same roles as men. I see it where I work. One flat out told me that she leaves for a portion of the day to go to the gym. And I mean, I'm here working, getting stuff done, for roughly similar pay I presume, yeah? We're on the same team, doing the same work, so then she's technically being paid more to do less.

Then some women's salaries are kind of just outright eclipsing men, according to some studies. And there's no doubt that with some men, there is going to be some favoritism towards women. Men naturally want to take care of women. It's really just leaving a lot of hard working men getting shortchanged in my opinion. With more people now in the workforce, competing over raises and salaries. There's less to go around.

And outside the traditional workforce, you've got a bunch of women getting paid a bunch of simp money just for existing and taking off their clothes on OnlyFans... A man cannot do that. I suppose a few could maybe, but to me, that is not a legitimate career or even in the realm of making a real living. But that doesn't change the fact that there's a ton of air-headed women making way more money do it, than I am, despite working hard to earn an actual honest living, which I am barely making enough to survive in this current economic and political climate.

So I don't know what other people are even doing to get ahead. I'm in the wrong field, apparently. As a man, with years of experience now, all I can say is that these companies just aren't paying what they should. People can hardly sustain themselves under normal circumstances without the use of credit, working paycheck to paycheck, and this is no way to live.

These companies are outright making people want to leave, and even leave the industry. They are not taking care of their employees well enough. Direct, salaried employees that bought their way into the club with their degrees, sure. But contracted employees? Forget it. You might as well be a second-class citizen.

Yes. Look at the men who are in the top 10 in wealth - they are all self-made and all worked 60-80 hours a week for decades in order to achieve their success. They literally sacrificed nearly all other aspects of their lives to do so.

Few women are interested in making such a sacrifice for wealth. It's not that women aren't smart enough, or that they can't bring enough value - they could, they simply don't want to become the personal costs are too high. Women overwhelmingly prefer more of a work/life balance. And there's nothing wrong with that.

But it also means that few women become CEOs of major corporations, for example. Obviously there have been exceptions, but as a percentage, it's tiny, because women generally don't want to spend every waking hour of their adult lives working. Most men don't either, which is why the number of these super high achievers is small, but those few exceptions are overwhelmingly male.

If you look at the women in the top 100 wealthiest people list, they have all either inherited their money or gotten it in a divorce...

Hypothetically it's not impossible, but realistically it's hard to pull off. It is not simply because of all the expectations women have to give more time and effort into their homes and childcare as even in egalitarian couples men aren't exactly doing 50% of the household, but also women are socialized to settle for less or not reach for higher positions and salaries in jobs. Women are less likely to apply for jobs where they don't meet all the requirements, women are less likely to negotiate for higher salaries at job interviews, and we also know that women are less likely to get hired to begin with. A study done with a group of boys and girls given a math exam showed that they performed equally well, but when a second group was told that the test was taken to compare between the genders, girls performed much worse although it was the exact same test.

Honorable mention is, I love how girls outperform boys in school, "school is not designed for boys it's made for girls to excel", when women are getting more PhDs people want to argue how college is useless and women are becoming financial burdens and degrees like "gender studies" are stupid and useless, but when women don't earn as much as men it is considered a deficiency in women. Also not to forget, married men earn higher because having someone who does some chores for them means they have more opportunity to allocate their time in making money.

We have a lot of barriers to break to realistically have women who earn the highest.

It’s not a competition between the sexes. Those who are truly rich didn’t get there through wages and salaries, they got there through investment or because they grew up with silver spoons in their mouths. Some were just plain lucky. Man or woman, there’s plenty of opportunity to live the American dream, but it comes with a price. Everyone cheers people on to become a success, but once someone does become wealthy by whatever means, everyone who is not them hates them. Who knows what the future holds.

Men will keep the higher earnings average. The reason men get paid so much is because we take on the higher risk jobs and/or are willing to put in more hours for work. Also, many places do not have paid maternity leave so women lose out on many hours of work when they have to take off for pregnancy. Can't get paid if you take off.

Another factor is society itself. There are more social safety nets for women than men if life gets hard. This means that a woman does not have to work as hard as a man to be financially secure.
