Are girls impressed by credit cards?

Are girls impressed if a guy whips out a American Express Platnium (or Centurion if he has it) or VISA Signature (or Black Card if he has it) or MasterCard World Elite card? Or do they have no idea what that card means?

I wouldn't even notice unless he was spending huge sums of money with it. In which case I'd be more uncomfortable than impressed [if money were being spent on me] or I'd feel like he was kind of showing off by 'waving all that money around', which is a turn off for me personally. I didn't grow up 'with money', so I don't actually know exactly what those cards are all about, aside from them being cards that people who grew up like me DIDN'T have, because my only understanding is that those ones tend to have much higher spending limits, used by people who obviously have the kind of cash to pay on them regularly. I've never even had a credit card, I budget everything and have been left with the mentality that I have to pay attention to my finances at every second because that's how I grew up. I worry that something will come up and I wouldn't be able to pay my debts due to covering something else.

That's right.

Why? That means he's not buying on credit, he's using his own money. That's more appealing than the really awesome cards with all the cool benefits because I've seen too many people in debt.

As a girl: It really doesn't matter to me.

As a cashier: It really doesn't matter to me, just as long as it's swipe-able and I don't have to type in all the numbers...

I have been offered a plum card by American express I turned it down. Infact I closed my gold and platinum American Express over the years.

To me they are BS. Just a way to get the average Jo hooked.

Right now I have a regular Amex, and 2 gold Visas. And I'm content.

Now if a man wants flash a high end card that's nice. impressed? maybe the black card or palladium.

A black card yes, Not to many men have a black card. I would think he manages his credit well. Well it's funny that the young lady below me said if someone pulled out the Jp Morgan Chase Platinum because I had one and I saw other peoples reaction but to me it was an average card.

You are thinking of the JP Morgan Select. She is saying the Palladium which is $450 yearly and is made out of 1oz of Palladium. Unless you had that with your AMEX Centurion? :)

My bad I, not sure what card I had, I know it was the top card offered to the fraud dept employee at chase. I had a top postion in their fraud dept about 5 years ago. Maybe I need to look into that, But I do know it was a great card

I went to another bank, Who provided me with better offers. And lower rates

I've all Platinum cards with great rates , The reason I gave up chase was I no longer worked their and where I moved to now I believe maybe has 2 locations. I came from a big state chase banks were everywhere, Theirs no close chase bank around. I prefer dealing with a bank where I can talk to a banker are someone in investments one on one if I have any questions about my acct . I don't like phone interactions that much if it's concerning my money. With me managing the fraud dept I know the ropes
