Have any kind of meal involving meat and vegetables. I usually just grill/stir fry some kind of meat (chicken, steak, fish) and either stir fry or bake some kind of vegetables to go with it. For flavoring you can add a little bit of white wine while stir frying, some kind of seasoning, or squeeze some fresh orange/lime juice. Along with a decent workout every other day, I lost 20 lbs over a semester (college student)

I've been eating less bread, and I've been eating more brown rice and quinoa. Also, I'm discovering that you can make typically starchy/grain things out of veggies. I just made some pizza with cauliflower as the crust, and it was actually really good. I don't generally eat a lot of bread; I eat things like soup a lot and throw lentils and veggies and stuff in my rice cooker.
You don't have to eat bread. you can stick with meat, vegs, fruit, and dairy.
