It's Best to Cut Someone Out of Your Life Completely For a While After you Break Up

Me and my girlfriend broke up at the end of January. I broke up with her. She got a rebound quickly after. She still wanted to be "friends" with me though, telling me about all her problems and stuff, and it irritated me and all I found in her was annoyance and questioned how I even dated her in the first place. Eventually I couldn't take it anymore and told her I think it'd be best if we wouldn't talk to each other for a few months. No texting, no calling, no seeing each other in person, and she agreed to it.

Since then I've been so happy physically removing her from my life. This time made me realize I was unhappy worrying about her problems and her life. Especially hearing her talk about this cute rebound guy she's seeing. Maybe she's somewhere sucking him off now, who knows, but it's not my worry anymore! This is a great decision I should've made sooner than trying to be friends right out of a relationship because there's obviously still feelings and resentment and easy agitation there. It feels like the burden of her is gone, and now I have my own life to worry about, without having to hear from her in it.

It really is best to cut someone out of your life completely for a while after you break up. Attempting to be friends right after won't work, trust me.
