Why do cheaters cry when they are caught?

Why do they cry and cry and claim they love when you catch them cheating? Like they're sorry that they got caught. I would never take back a cheater. I learned that the hard way. Any experiences?

Same way a little kid would cry when being caught stealing a cookie.
It's sort of a "shock" reaction.. and then we feel guilted and try to somehow show a plea and try to portray ourselves as a victim for simply being caught.
Personally, I've never had a problem with cheating.. as I don't just date around and have only had two partners in my life. Broke up with the first one because I lost my romantic feelings and I'm currently dating my second one.
I don't think that cheaters can ever be genuinely sorry.. unless it was some sort of situational accident (which is up for interpretation depending on the various details).. because if someone truly loved their partner, that'd honestly be all that they needed. I feel like a big problem with this is simply that people don't even truly comprehend what love actually IS anymore. They confuse love with infatuation and lust.

Sometimes when a person has a hard time communicating their needs and doesn't respect their partner, even though they do care and love them... they make selfish and desperate acts, that they know are wrong and unfair to you. They are just more concerned about their needs and are too selfish to let you go.

@sugarchateau True aswell! But again, that's not love, as love works like a circle.. (True and ideal love that is).. You put affection and trust and care in.. And it's eventually returned. So, if someone is being selfish and self-centered.. Eventually they won't put love and affection into the circle cycle, and will eventually get nothing out of it in return

Because chances are they do still love. People dont cheat because they stopped loving their partner, its simply because something was lacking in the relationship that didn't make them feel fulfilled.

Think about it like this. When people get caught stealing or doing something wrong they cry anyway - so it's the same thing but on a different scale.

I would guess that it's because they realize they got caught and ruined their relationship. Like instead of it just being a thought in their mind it became real and they're processing the ramifications of what they've done. Then when they claim they love you it's because they realize what they've taken for granted and ruined. Trying to cling to any shred of that left or they're just lying to try and keep them complacent. Just a theories and these certainly aren't the only reasons but they may apply.

Cheaters always do this... In my case it happened that she liked another guy and didn't tell me... But I came to know about it and confronted her... Then she told that the other guy has told him that it's not possible for him to be in a relationship... Still she has feelings for him and so I broke up with her... She still likes the other guy like anything...

Cheaters may have feelings for u and someone else simultaneously or are afraid to loose u... So they cry when they are caught...

The shame if they have any. They're not sorry that they cheated. They're embarrassed that they were caught. Tears can be used to manipulate the gullible and they use that to avoid facing any consequences.
