Dating a man, and saw him out with another woman at a place he said he would take me!

I'm arguing with myself right now. I've dated this man several times, we are both very independent and enjoy each others' company. He mentioned taking me to a certain place and we'd go sometime. Well, my girlfriend and I decided to go there and he was there... with another lady. I have to admit I was stunned and I really have no right to be .. anything. We're not committed and there is no obligations. The question is... do I tell him how I felt when I saw him? We saw each other and I was laughing at seeing him there... and he quickly told me he was there with another lady friend. It was awkward. I just smiled and said OK and went off to have fun.

The next day he's texting me. I just hear every man say be honest about everything but as a man, do you really want to know how I am feeling?

Every time I go to a new restaurant I almost always order a burger and a chocolate milkshake. If something as simple as this meal can't be done right then I won't return. It's about me taking a known variable and using it to find an honest response. Some guys will take women to the same place because it's a "known variable" and a good way to see her in an environment they are familiar with. In some cases, for a guy, it's considered a "next stage" in the dating game; part of a process to find the right woman to attempt something more committed. Telling him you were a tiny bit jealous with a smile on your face won't go un-noticed or un-appreciated.

Hey, at least you realize you have no reason to be upset since you aren't exclusive and you're dating other people too. Kudos to you for that.

Not sure what talking about it will accomplish, so I wouldn't. But that's me. It's also not clear it would do a lot of damage, so it probably doesn't matter. But if you go off on him, that's not good.

Thanks for the compliment. And I wasn't even considering going off on him at all, but more or less telling him that I felt a little hurt, even though I have no right and it surprised me.

I don't think you should say anything mainly because I'm not sure that it would accomplish anything. If your casually dating and have an agreement to that it's OK to see other people then really there's no betrayal and nothing to discuss. It seems like the feelings off betrayal root from deeper feelings that you may have for him. If the arrangement is no longer working for you maybe you should consider discussing that versus feeling betrayed.

I don't really feel betrayed, it was just weird, yanno? We've dated sporadically and just been lucky I suppose that neither one of us have run into each other while on another date. The feelings I felt of disappointment that he was there with another woman surprised me. I've decided not to say anything unless I'm at the point where I feel I need more than what I have - and right now I am not ready to do that. See? I'm non-committal too! lol

Do not tell him that you feel betrayed that he took another date there. Maybe he doesn't have a lot of tricks up his sleeve, at least where making plans is concerned. However, do you really want to date this guy? Seems like he's playing the field.

He's playing the field and I am too. We're both just not into very serious things right now. I guess I'm more shocked at the feelings I had that I didn't know I had. See?

Too early to lay your feelings out on the table. Wait for him to do that first so you can keep up the mystery.
