What does it mean when ur ex has mixed emotions about taking you back? (that's bad right?)

I've been trying to get my ex back for quite a while now (2 or 3 months). I know I messed up and did something wrong (I flirted behind his back). I tell him how I feel or at least I try too. He says he doesn't know, that he's mixed up and needs time. Its been about 5 or 6 months since the break up, what more time does he need? Any who we talked last night and he told me to give him time, we'll try not to talk as much or see each other (I really don't see the point of that, we hardly see each other any way) and that it will work. what do you guys think?

Your going to think I am crazy, but completly back off and give him all of the space that he needs. Trust me , it will be to your benefit. My ex broke up with me ove a month ago and even though I love him with all of my heart, I fell off the face of the earth. He has been driving by my house and calling me, sending messages through my friends. If a guy knows that you are right there waiting, he can take as long as he likes. Where as if you back away, he will start wondering what happened to you. He will get scared that maybe you won't be right there waiting when he does decide that he wants to come back. If he decides he doesn't want to come back, then you have already started the process of living your life without him. Just remember, people will miss you if you aren't right there. If your always right there, was does he have to miss? Best of luck to you. And by the way, what you did wasnt that terrible, notenough for him to dump you if he really liked you. Most people flirt a little behind someones back, not because they want someone else, but because it makes them feel good about themselves. Don't worry, if he really likes you, he will be back.

Your right, being completely unavailable to him will drive him nuts wondering where you are and what you are doing. I didn't talk to my ex for about 2 weeks and he started sending me messages and telling my friends to tell me to go online just to talk like we used to.

When you did this to your ex, did you end up getting back together?

We aren't back together yet, but he is begging and pleaing....I want to make sure he knows that he can't just leave me and come back whenever he wants to, so I guess you could say I'm starting it off slow. I don't want him to think I will run right back to him when he leaves me. I told him we can talk but I need time to think. God, men hate it when you turn the table on them!!! LOL

If he says he desn't know and he's confused, it may just be he still doesn't feel he trusts you 100%; if you want to be with him, talk tohim about it and see if you guys can resolve the issues and ask him for the oppotunity that he can trust you again, otherwise if he doesn't get back to you within a week, it's pretty much over.

he lost all trust but rebuilding that trust takes along time, he doesn't wana see you because he doesn't wana feel the emotions he had for you when you were together. it seems he wants to move on and live his own life and he doesn't want to be hurt anymore because guys are more fragile on the inside than a girl reason is because girls can vent and express there feelings about how they are feeling with someone guys would usually bottle it up inside so deep that it can just break and all the emotion and feelings he was holding will come out and tear them apart.

Mixed emotions means that he's uncertain about taking you back -- part of him wants to take you back but his doubts are strong enough to keep him from doing it.

So if you want to get back with him, mixed emotions are bad. The ball is in his court. If you want to date him again, the only thing you can do is give him time and stay on good terms. But don't count on getting back with him. Move on with your life.
