Post-break up behavior? Why is he acting this way?

Currently really confused. My fiancé and I got into a really bad fight 2 days ago and he ended up ending our engagement and relationship. He told me he was 100% done with me and no longer wanted to be with me. It's complicated because we have 2 kids and live together so we still are stuck seeing each other everyday. We are able to be civil most of the time but the moment I bring up anything relating to our break up, he shuts down completely and gets angry and tells me not to talk to him unless it's regarding our kids. What I'm most confused about is that we have bracelets that are special to us that we've worn as a couple during our entire relationship... Well, he wore his bracelet today. When I pointed it out, he told me he wore it because he "likes the bracelet". He's taking our kids to see his parents today so I asked if he's going to tell them about our break up and he shut down again and said "I don't know". I also told him I'm probably going to move out in a month and he got really upset and told me not to talk to him about it but isn't stopping me. We have had "break ups" in the past and he has always come around to telling me he wanted to stay together but this time is obviously different since he ended our engagement. What should I do/think? Why would he wear our bracelet?
