Is this a good sign?

My ex broke up with me 4 days ago because he needed to work on himself.
I completely understand his issues a lot because I know the challenges he’s facing. He’s going though a toxic divorce. Obviously his ex wife really messed him up.
Anyways, so after we broke up, he hasn’t tried to talk to me. He said he needed some time to himself and give him time.
Of course I’ve been acting a little clingy by texting him a lot but today I haven’t.
Yesterday I’ve asked him if we’re done for good?
He said im done FOR NOW.
So I said, “if that’s the case, should we start seeing other people?”
He said, “What ever helps you, I didn’t do this to date other woman”
I said, “well if there’s no chances, then yes I will move on”
He said “you have somebody lined up already, don’t you”
I said “I can if I wanted to”
He said “ that’s true, you are a very beautiful woman”
He also said “be smart if you do date other people. But me, I’m working on myself and take care of my kids

I said “you’ll find someone else too once you’re ready”

He said “maybe when I’m ready, you’ll be free again”

That’s the end of the conversation.
I do miss and love him a lot, is this a good sign he’ll come back?
