About 4 or 5 months ago we got into a massive argument which became very emotional, and immature. Long story short, he left me his final statement of how he felt and unfriended me. At that point I was extremely upset with myself and at him, a few of our mutual friends tried to get us to talk again. I was willing to, but he was not after 1-2 months had passed.
I decided to move on and make other friends. One of our mutual friends tried to trick me into playing an online game the ex best friend was playing as an attempt to get us to talk again. The mutual friend said the ex best friend wanted him to "bring back the old team" (this team included me) and had assumed the ex best friend wanted to rekindle again.
I asked the mutual friend to ask him specifically who he was referring to by 'old team', and his response was he does not remember. I took it as he is pretending he does not know me, or has "forgotten" me.
Mind you, this ex best friend still remembers a lot of people in his life from many years ago, so it seemed strange to me he does not remember me, or better yet, does not want to acknowledge me.
We both had feelings for each other, and this added fuel to the fire of our argument (this is another story itself).
Basically, why is my ex best friend pretending he does not know me, remember me, or want to acknowledge me? I am not that petty, but it seems like an immature move.
