Why do girls pay for the final meal before breaking up?

I noticed girls pay for the last meal before they breakup with a guy why is this?

They often breakup after and are pretty final about it. I wonder if guys do this to?

I personally haven't done that, I usually offer to pay or go half on my meal even when I'm with a guy!

But I'm assuming she doesn't want you to feel like she owes you anything, or she was just using you for a free meal (mostly this).
Imagine dating a guy, realizing he's not your type, him spending a huge amount of money on a date... then dumping him.
Said guy is going to claim we used him for his money or a free meal. So yeah, she probably figured if she paid, you wouldn't assume that.

Never done this. Honestly if I take a guy out it's because I like him not because I don't lol.
