She may have thought about you and wanted to see how you are doing. I contacted an ex after 12 years but its only to see how he was doing and to tell him how my life has been. I was sitting at home one day thinking about all the people I came across in my life. I searched for them on Facebook and found him. I am the one who broke it off with him, he wanted to meet up but I declined. So basically, some might just contact you just to see how you are doing and to catch up.
Don't over think it. She may regret how she treated you and wants to apologize and see how you've been.
My ex contacted me a few months ago after 2 years as well. He was a complete idiot though. Eventually told me he never chased me because he knew I would never sleep with him. That completely ruined the good image I had of him. Just take it as an old friend saying hello.
I think she just wants to get back in contact with you--open up communication and let you know she's sorry for what she did and that she's grown and improved since then. She wants you to know she's not upset at your anymore or whatever.
Always watch out for the in and out girl... she is keeping her options open...

I recently contacted my ex just because he crossed my mind. And I've always care for him. So if your ex is like that too, perhaps she just wants to keep in contact? Not sure. Depends on the nature of the breakup too though.

She just wants to know how you're doing. That's all that I can tell from that.
I'd say just wanted to relieve some guilty feelings she has about the past and wanted to know how you are.

Maybe she misses you pr regrets doing harm to you in the past and she feels bad about it. I'd say talk to her, maybe she needs someone there as a friend since you stated that she has a boyfriend.
