Polls: Break Up & Divorce

I moved out of state for a good job opportunity and my current girlfriend worked at Amazon warehouse. She decided to move in with me and said she would work to help out too. It’s been 2 years and she hasn’t worked. We are planning on moving back next year to be close to family/friends and it’s been tough saving money for a move when she hasn’t worked like she promised. I been very stressed about it but she is not willing to compromise anything to help save. Breaking up with her will make the move possible but I love her. I asked if we could break up for a short time and her to move back in with her parents but she got mad and said no. I don’t think I can move back to the west coast from the east coast if she is still with me not working.

She tried to apply to 5 jobs since she moved in and gets worked up when I ask her to keep trying. I don’t know what to do anymore.

I had a REALLY bad breakup with my ex-gf. She has always been the dumper and I don't think she looks back on relationships. She broke up with me and I didn't take it well. She was my first and I sort of lost it and threatened her.
She took out a no-contact order against me and she's blocked me on everything, her friends and family have unfriended me.

I just miss her. I didn't intend for this. I didn't intend to carry through, I just wanted to hurt her as badly as she hurt me in the moment.

I just want to hear her voice again and I can't. I hope she thinks about us and the happy times we had together. I'm sure she's already forgotten me.

I've heard stories from other friends about how their exes came back after despite some truly horrendous and difficult shit and bad breakups.

I just miss her.

Would you ever be able to repair things with an ex after that?

Break ups can get pretty heated and even brutal. Some bad things can get tossed around at each other too.

was there anything you said during the breakup you wish you hadn’t? Such as calling them names, saying something really hurtful when you shouldn’t? Or maybe the opposite where you gave them false hope because you wanted to be nice? This is for anyone who either did the breaking up or was broken up with.
