Would you consider Eye poking physical abuse/domestic violence?

this didn't happen to me recently but I'm just wondering, My boyfriend at the time were arguing and he walked up to me and shouted in my face and poked me in the eye with his finger :/ it told some friends that this happened to me and they just thought it was funny so does it mean it wasn't that bad because I felt very bullied :/

Did he do it on purpose or was he just pointing at you and accidentally poked you in the eye? If it was on purpose it was abuse
