boyfriend rated me a 7 out of 10. I feel conflicted?

My boyfriend rated me a 7. I know that a 7 isn't horribly ugly but still. He's my person. Shouldn't I be higher than a 7?

On the bright side , he's honest and doesn't just say things to be nice, which is great for a friend to be like towards you. But usually, you dont say something like that to someone you're in love with Or have strong feelings for. I dated a guy who , to my friends, wasn't the most attractive , but I never felt like anyone could compete looks wise either , since I was completely in love with him. Strong feelings will turn someone from a 6 to well above a 10 just because you like everything about them

True, when you truly love a person, it's hard for you to rate them anything below 10, because you just can't. I can't rate my best friend just based on looks. If she ever tells me to be honest, I would say 9, that left over 1 would be the awesome personality she has, which would make it 10.
Simply put is that I can't rate her below 10, because I don't see her below that. That's why she is my best friend after all. I love her in and out.

no. its the truth although its not the number you like, but who knows what a 7 is too him. He may think its still saying you are pretty but not gorgeous or super hot. That you are decently attractive but not fine. Just decent and pretty nicelooking. Its not a bad number at all

It means your a keeper he is simply being realistic. As 10/10's to him may not be realistic and anything lower than a 5 or a 6 he wouldn't be dating. Plus he doesn't want to give you a false image to hold onto but something that will keep you being you. The girl he fell for. If anything just tease him and ask him how you can up the rating and just joke with him.

I think when people rate on a numerical scale, each person's interpretation of what a 10 should be is different. Also when people are asked to rate on a numerical scale, they tend to be more objective and critical so you are probably getting and honest answer from him. There are probably other factors that make you attractive to him and he probably scored you 7/10 on physical appearance.

I have had girlfriends do this to me, a lot of girls are saying to dump him but I have had girlfriends get angry when i tell them they are a 10 and start yelling at me saying I'm just telling them what they want to hear and that they aren't weak they can handle the truth, then other times I give them a more honest answer and now I'm a jerk or an asshole, I swear women are confusing.
