That being said, given that men are very visual creaures and women hit the wall at 30 in terms of looks. So when all other things are equal, a man would prefer a woman who still has 9 good years on her looks opposed to one whose looks are already declining.

I am dating someone older not because he is older but because I find him attractive on the in and outside. Probably the age gap was one of the reasons why I refused to see it as a potential relationship in the first place.
But in the end I just loved who is as a person. He is incredibly fit with great genetics and we have so much in common.
However most older guys are overweight, balding, wrinkly, bitter, perverted etc. I guess there are exceptions. But most people should stick with people their age.

What I mean with perverted here is getting sexual offers/comments from a guy that could be my dad/granddad and is married with kids that are almost my own age, without me ever giving them any flirty or sexual cue's. Because girls don't want guys their own age. When guys are young, we're looked down upon by girls in our age group. We're told that we have to wait until we're older to be attractive to girls, because girls respect and want older guys. So we end up dating younger girls because they're the only ones who want us.
I think it's because women don't generally age as well as men, which really sucks. I also find that women my age aren't as up to having any fun, whether it's having sex or going bowling. That can be really frustrating for a man, especially if she herself pulls the "too old" or "menopause" card.
Yes. It's all about the biological clock. It ticks whether the feminists like it or not. Girls and Boys are not equal. In nothing. A man needs time to settle for having a family. Only if a men works out a lot, eats healthy, learns to be confident and has luck with the genetic lottery. However after 50 or 52 statistics show guys lose all their attractiveness (with the exception of one or two). However having met lots of guys through work of all sorts of ages I'd say 80% are unattractive when they reach 30 cause just like a lot of women they stop taking care of themselves.

I personally think men’s thicker skin and surplus of collagen is the reason why men seem like they “age like win.” Either way, one of the hallmarks of what makes a woman desirable to men is YOUTH. I do agree men have different wants than women. women prefer to settle with guys slightly less attractive then them so they feel like the guy wouldn't cheat or leave them as fast. Guys however try to reach as high as they can.
But I do not believe men age better at all physically. Again due to my job I am surrounded by men. And because they don't take care of themselves they often look sloppy, unhygienic, and well old.
I'd say men become socially more attractive for women seeking stability the older they get. A lot of those women are gold diggers or attracted to status though but I assume the guys could care less.

younger women in my experience are easier to impress, less work to make happy and have significantly less baggage. all of those things make it much easier to date younger than even around my age

You should care for a good career at the time the girls of your age will care for creating a family. You don't need a spouse at 18. You need one at the time when you can afford one.
