Why didn’t he respond to my “bye” message?

yes it was hard, I liked him somehow
but after two months I realized it’s time to accept that he isn’t interested that much and doesn’t see me more than a friend of his.
so I told him in the last messages good luck I am happy we met and bye he replied to the first two messages but didn’t say bye.
I won’t respond even if he is willing to message me again.

If he has experienced this before then I see three likely possibilities.
1. He is upset that this happened.

I don't know if he understood that you meant 'bye' as a definitive goodbye. So that's maybe why he didn't say anything. If he notes your abscence and texts you than you have your answer. If he doesn't text you, I don't think he cares. You said you want to move on so do it. Don't get hung up on hope. If he liked you you would know!
