I remember reading in a question you asked about what do when females are stalking you and trying to get close to you - its possible somebody is trying to make you feel insecure about your relationship by inventing things that aren't there out of a desire to claim you and steal you away from her and I think in another question you said there was a small age difference of less than 4 years like 2 years or 1 year - no big deal. I know very attractive guys who marry woman around a decade older that have been together for 2 decades or more. It's less common but it happens. I was once at a bar with a church friend who was around 10 - 11 years younger than me and they asked me for I. D. but did not ask the guy for i. d. and they asked most of the other people at my table for i. d. too. I'm 34 and a few years ago the cashier sold me teenage train tickets cause she thought I was 18. 1-3 years is not a big deal - mommy issues would be if you were dating somebody 8-20 years older.
Well depends how much older. Old enough to be your mom? yeah, probably. could be younger than that but treating you like a child and bossing you around in a motherly manner while you enjoy that, it would be a sign of mother issues yes. but if age difference is around 10yrs or less and you are both mentally mature on the same level and she is not treating you like a child don't overanalyze every comment that pops up here and just enjoy.

Could be but maybe more in liking the nurturing or guidance part or the ability for many older women to listen with less judgment. The tricky thing is to maintain balance so the relationship doesn't take on a parental/adult child dynamic. It should be more about having similar personalities, goals, values and being on the same path in life. Two people can have the first 3 but if they are not in the same place path wise it isn't going to work out. Sometimes the timing is just off.

My partner gave her a compliment and she lashed out on my birthday of all days, and made me go to that bad place again called self doubt and wanting to kill myself (her dad did this for years and is still trying) because i've TRIED to help her and so has he, by doing so many jobs for her around the place she lives in, we have suffered the most. Never mind we lost our weekends together as he works, and we dont have much at all, just each other and she has totally disregarded this. He went one weeknd without me as she was already hard to talk to, so i stayed away, now her nuts partner who is on home detention currently is again interfering, and told her he is sleeping with her, so now we need to stay aways for our own sake. My grandkids have little or no interaction with other kids and are home schooled, she isolates them and controls them a she is her self, by allowing this to continue she is raising the next generation of abused women in our family and she has one son, and one brother and they will be no better. If I didn't have him in my life, it woul dbe very bleak, i would be on my own, in a small place (if I was lucky) got the old dump im in now due to my too other girls, as the younger one needed somewhere to go a few years ago, so i sacrificed a better place for me at the time so she could have somewhere to go. I've given so much time to my kids, so now have to think of myself and partner, as we are all we have for each other, and their are many like us, trying to be happy in impossible circumstances, love against the odds, thats me, to many trying to come between us and separate us, my daughters are all unhappy in their relationship's, they are doing the same thing I did, been with someone for the sake of somewhere to live. Its a mixture of poverty and hardship and been stupid and making stupid choices. By expecting that he is not perfect and he will muck up as i do, make sit easier to get along better and be each others best friend. Is all the hope we have for now, dont care about the future, dont care where i end up living, it won't be much, but it will be with him and that's all that counts.
I think there are obviously some people with mother issues that date older women but that doesn't mean all men who date older women have some sort of issue. Sometimes its just due to preference or even just coincidence. Sometimes you just connect with whomever you connect with and age doesn't come into it. There are lots of reasons someone could be with someone older but it doesn't necessarily mean you are looking for a motherly figure. I know most women are naturally nurturing anyway and end up taking care of the husband in similar ways a mother would anyway, men seem to naturally gravitate towards that probably because it shows a potentially good mother for his kids as well. Even if someone did have mother issues which is why they were with someone older as long as your two consenting adults then who the hell cares. If it's something that irks a person maybe they should try counseling.

I have been with an older woman together, because I was broken after 4,5 years with a girl I loved unconditionally. As we met she knew in 30 minutes what happens inside me without talking that much. I was really impressed on many things she knew and she helped me a lot, I paid my duties with efforts in sex with her.

I don't really think there's any connection. Motherly issues are much more personal. It's got nothing to do with having relationships with older women than you. Some people just prefer women elder to them while others just click and greet along better with a woman older than them.
Couples that are the same age can find themselves in a parent/child type relationship. So dating someone older doesn't necessarily mean it's because someone had mommy or daddy issues. It's probably that you connect more with older women because of how different they are from women when they are younger.

Love is a spiritual thing that has nothing to do with age. Being in a relationship with someone close to your own age is easier because you are more likely to have things in common, but that is all there is to it. If the two of you love each other that is all that matters. Age is only an issue if one is under the age of consent.
