Why are women so obsessed with height and a man has to be taller than a woman, women are the most superficial creatures in the world?

Men don't have height standards to consider a woman attractive, it's so unfair. What should short men do, shoot themselves, sacrifice themselves?

It goes both ways. My brothers have made comments about 5'8 and 5'9 being too tall for a girl and they are 6'5. Their girlfriends are 5'1 and 5'5 respectively.
I am 6'1 and many boys have made comments about my height being intimidating and strangers making comments and how I will find it difficult to have a boyfriend being so tall.
It sucks and it is not right. No one should be told they are not good enough because of how tall they are, but society tells us that men should be taller and girls should be smaller.
I know a lot of girls feel insecure being around men smaller, or around the same height as them as it makes them feel big and undesirable.
There are of course shallow people who see appearance as the most important thing, but there are often other factors.
Not excusing it.. but there is a reason :/

It is true but in general a beautiful woman is beautiful being 5 'or being 6'. Tall women can be models, suggar babies, celebrities, dommes... generally attractive and desirable. What you say is only true of SOME very tall men who want to feel macho man, but men of average heights do not usually care about a taller or shorter woman.

I know this sounds strange but as a female myself, I hate my height too. This is one of my greatest insecurities. I don't care about many men who like short girls. I just don't feel attractive standing at 5'3. My boyfriend is 6' and sometimes he calls me cute small girlfriend. I know he loves my height and how big he looks next to me, but I just hate being reminded how petite I am lol. Clothes don't really look good on me unless I wear minimum 2 inches of wedges or shoes. I envy tall girls a lot but then I have some tall friends who told me they want my height because many guys like short girls 🤔 I guess we just want what we don't have.

This is actually something that people don't acknowledge. The beauty standard in Asia is tall, skinny and pale. I can get passed the skinny and pale part as I am not fat or too dark myself but 5'3 is definetely not an attractive height here. Many men prefer a girl who is at LEAST 5'4 though it is not a requirement if she is good looking. Anyway, I don't like my height not because of this but the clothing reason. I am a fashionista and I feel sad that I cannot wear so many clothes even with 5 inches of heels 👠 Oh, just to let you know that there are countless posts/memes on facebook shaming on short girls so yea I guess it goes both ways except that guys have it tougher I admit.

Yea I feel sorry for them. Height is something you can't choose or change, unless you are willing to go for the limb surgery which will take at least 6 months to recover. I heard from my friend's uncle, he had to be on wheelchair for a few months before he was able to walk like normal. It sounds super painful 😣 I can consider if the height change is 5 inches and above but from what I read, it all depends how much your legs are able to stretch. Not gonna take a risk of being just 3 inches taller and have to go through the crazy procedure.

I will date a short guy if he's got enough good qualities that I no longer require him to be tall - Its like when you buy cake - if there is enough chocolate in the cake - you don't care if there is no salt - if there is no chocolate or sugar in the cake you won't eat it unless its salty - relationships work like that too

Most of girls that I know don't want to date short guys because their friends and people around her will judge her for that.

For most of girls social validation is VERY important part of their life so I can't really blame them. But you need to understand that they are also a lot of girls who don't give a single F about height.
You just need to keep looking.

Another post with an insecure, biased and inexperienced individual regarding women as superficial. I personally have never turned men down because of their height nor do I care too much either way. I prefer taller men but it's not a prerequisite for getting my interest. Nor do I know any women who feel that way.

Most likely those questions that you have seen are asking for a preference. Those 90% would rather date a taller man than themselves or something similar.

I've seen questions in similar topics and it's usually around 70-90% into the preference that they would want to date a taller men, it doesn't mean that they won't find someone attractive just because they're relatively short.

Men are more obsessed in my experience, although decent people don’t care. My ex was 6”1 (though claimed to be 6”2, I guess a slight difference matters that much to people like that) and used his height as a source of his self-esteem. He approached me at uni and I only stayed with him for so long because I didn’t think I could do better because boys/men often told me how ugly I am (which sex class is the shallow one?). I’m now with someone who’s 5”8 who I met online who so far seems to be a much kinder person. Height wasn’t a factor for me, although I did instantly left swipe on 6”+ guys who felt a need to mention their height again in their bios as I don’t want to be with another person like my ex.

Dude my dad is shorter than my mom so I find this statement slight bs but I will say it partially has something to do hormones. And watch just about any modern tv show or movie where's the short guys tall girl couple. Every girl is different I personally just want someone I can at least look in the eye for some reason they think they're short. Its an evolutionary process, believe it or not a long time ago the main purpose of existing was to replicate. It was survival of the species. And when someone choose their partner they naturally look for those qualities thay they want to pass to their offsprings.
