Why do gothic/metal head guys like cute girls?

Just something I’ve picked up on and noticed that they tend to go for often girls in like cutesy type girly outfits and stuff even though that’s the opposite to what they’re, also alternative looking girls but you often see guys who are in a band with a cute dressed girl, why do you think this is?

I honestly never noticed that. In fact I would have said its the opposite, that they are more into alternative girls. Being a metal head myself I like feminine and sweet girls but I don't dress as a metal head (I look like a guy who would be happiest living in the woods to be honest (flannel, lots of it, jeans and boots. Nothing particularly metal about my style of dress), and I am more of an affectionate sort (I've been called "too innocent" by girls (Not sure why)).

Though metal heads themselves tend to be very laid back in my experience and heavy metal is more of a purge of those negative emotions so perhaps that is why it seems odd to you, because you are presuming that their musical tastes should extend to their every day life when it doesn't.

I'm a metalhead, and I do find girls whose photos you attached attractive, as well as other cute girls too. In fact, one of my ex-girlfriends looked very similar to the girl with pink hair. I guess what I like about them is the style of hair, make-up and clothes. Not to mention most of them listen to rock and metal too, which is a huge turn on too.

Also, they tend to be more open minded, which I like. Maybe the factor that we're both part of a subculture adds to it... probably.

I think that you are conflating sub genres. Metal and gothic subcultures are entirelly different. sure it would all come under the title 'alternative' but your guy example is certainly looks more pop punk/screamo than 'metal'. The girls are certainly not what I would call either metal or goth.

I could go into how there have been instances of some pretty sick revelations from certain celebrities of the alternative that could explain it but I wouldn't want to put that on an entire group that doesn't deserve it.

Metalheads are extreme people. They hyperidentify with masculinity. And as a counter, find hyper femininity highly attractive.

Cutesy styles are more feminine, so the result is Metalheads like cute women.

I've been a metalhead for 12 years now, and naturally, hang out with a lot of Metalheads. Which is how i've drawn my conclusion.

Because opposites attract. Generally metal as a genre is an expression for raw and often aggressive emotions. The opposite would be a cute, feminine girl to that.
