We haven’t hung out in a bit, but still talk everyday. Should I be worried?

So I’ve been out with this boy a few times, but the last time we hung out was 3 weeks ago. We text mostly everyday but last time we talked on the phone he mentioned how he doesn’t know the next time we hang out because he doesn’t want to really go out rn because covid cases are getting worse where we live and he doesn’t want to risk my dad (who had a low white blood count) getting sick. That totally fine, but since our last date his energy has changed so that’s got me thinking maybe he’s using that as an excuse. When I’ve talked to him about it he’s said that he’s fine with the way things are. Am I just overreacting or should I talk to him about it?

The first thing I noticed is that you called a grown man a "boy". Lets stop doing that and refer to grown men as "men".

Now that we have that out of the way, if you need clarification about what is going on in your "relationship" then you need to ask him to clarify what you want to know. Based on what you wrote, he seems to be not-so-interested, but there could be things going on that just make it appear that way. Ask and then move forward one way or the other :)

Covid is a very relevant excuse to use these days. If you're talking everyday then I'm sure it's alright. You just have to wait it out until restrictions ease and hopefully pick up where you left off after that
