I don't think you've been around enough black people. I think that youve just been exposed to a niche of people cause every black man in my family loves anime and I, as a woman, find anime to be really interesting. One of my close friends from college graduated with a degree in stats (same as me) and completely GEEKS OUT about anything to do with non-cultural trends, finance and politics. I have about 10 friends who graduated with a degree in engineering (all anime/crafts/higher-thinking people). I've got one friend who JUST graduated with a degree in finance. I know countless black people who don't fit the stigma of an uneducated black person who eats collard greens, listens to rap, has no real future outside of the struggle and never leaves the culture even when the culture is killing them.
That aside, I personally would love to marry a black man so that I can instill the same values in my children and know that we have the same basic practices for keeping our children safe. That being said, I love white men... ok, that's a stretch. I admire SOME white men and I fell in love with one before. Their views on finances, confidence and fathomable dreams for success are closer to my own (something that most black kids aren't taught). And I am obsessed with Korean culture and have an admiration for their men. My favorite shows to watch growing up were k-dramas and watching how their relationships played out and the cute couple-y things they did played at my heartstrings. Anyways, admiration breeds love and that's all it takes.
I personally can't say that I love white people or any other race of people other than my own but that's because I was taught to love my people and I happen to be loyal in that sense. But I also love ALL people regardless of race. It's kinda like being the Avatar and having special love for the Air Nation and a preference to be around those people but as is with the Air Nation, peace, harmony, and love for all is pivotal and so you do love everybody... If that makes sense. Like, I love the Air Nation but I also love all the members from every nation as in a general love for all of humanity.
End of ramble. I hope that helped some.24 Reply
Asker+1 yIt did. Thanks. That being said, I don’t even have the same values as most black people. What values are we suppose to share? I value intelligence a lot. I value IQ scores and STEM fields because I believe those people will progress society forward. I have yet to meet any black people that care about intelligence in the same way I do.

I'm a black nerd, too. And to be honest, your response disappoints me. A "nerd" implies you're both smart and an outcast, and yet, you are not thinking logically, nor acting empathetic to being an outcast.
Worrying about race is some of THE dumbest shit, ever. Like, seriously. It's so dumb, I could only expect it from humans. The problem isn't with race; it's with being around the wrong people. And that can apply with any race (and with me, it often does; I'm a misanthrope because humanity sucks ass). Race used to be a big deal hundreds of years ago because humans are naturally xenophobic, but in the communication age with practically global internet? Only humans could still find race to be a thing in 2020/2021.
Arguing over race is like arguing over what color shirt someone is wearing. Only LESS important cause you don't even chose your skin color like you do your shirt! Yes, some stereotypes fit some races than others. Who cares? I don't hood niggas, either! The same way I don't like trailer trash or MS-13 trash from Mexico. Assholes come in all shapes, sexualities, and genders, buddy! And guess what? They're the majority of all humans! Learn to find the non-assholes in the world, regardless of race, or other stupid pointless shit... You'll appreciate them more knowing how rare they are.06 Reply
Asker+1 yWho said I was worrying about race?
Asker+1 yI’m not worrying about race. I’m doing the opposite actually. I’m asking people who are worried about race why I need to do things that are considered normal for within my race.
Asker+1 yI don’t dislike black people, but I don’t like it when hoteps say that I can only get along and relate to other black people because we “share the same culture” when in reality, I barely mesh with a lot of black people.
- +1 y
I feel the same way as you on that! I'm an ESL teacher in South Korea and had a black American co-worker, drunk one night, try to tell me all the things "black people" are supposed to be (lame stereotypes, mostly, but he said it straight), and how I was "letting down my people" by not being said stereotypes. I'm like "Bitch, I didn't choose my race and I don't owe you or anyone else shit!" To no surprise, he was also a hardcore BLM'er despite growing up upper middle class from Boston.
So yeah, I understand the tribe mentality of it all. But humans also do that all the time. They're xenophobic, like I said. The "thing" they all choose to create in-groups off of doesn't matter much; they'll almost always be something irrelevant and stupid, like race, or politics, or something.
Don't get me wrong it is very rare to find people that are into anime and all your dislikes and likes in African American decent, but I feel like today a lot of those things are now becoming popular so there could be many more people like you within your race then you would expect, just rare and uncommon, you might have to look more broad!
And let me say you don't have to date within your race if you find people who like the things you like and of a different race that is completely fine, you date who you want to date. Many people date within their race because culturally they might have the same customs as you, vs dating someone outside of your race they would have to become familiar with your customs and you with their considering that your race can have a different background and beliefs. But if those things don't bother you than you are perfectly capable to date outside of your race, don't let others force you into something you don't want.00 Reply

+1 yDude, you’re not special. Tons of black people watch anime, and I’m sure there’s some interested in bitcoin. Have you met black people? Or are you just making assumptions about the rest of us back people because of stereotypes and generalizations. I could name like a dozen black people that I know off the top of my head that are nerdy and into anime and not interested in sports. I myself don’t give a damn about sports, love anime, and have attempted to get into bitcoin (but I wasn’t knowledgeable enough about it). You’re not special. You’re not unique. You’re not different than all the other black people. Some people like some things, and some people don’t. You’re just an ordinary nigga.
Asker+1 yI never said I was special or unique. I simply said that in my experience, I haven’t seen a lot of black people care about the things that I do. I’m not “ordinary” by any means, but I don’t believe I’m the only person on this globe.
I also care a lot about IQ scores and intelligence. I believe that they are the single determinate thing that determines a person’s worth in terms of progressing society.- +1 y
You literally just contradicted yourself. You deny being special, but you also being ordinary. There are tons of black people that share your interests. Dude, I’ve literally been IQ tested and have a genius level IQ. You are not different. You’re just a regular dude. It’s ok to just be a regular dude.
Asker+1 yI never claimed I was special. I don’t wish to be special. I don’t think that I deserve any admiration. I just believe that I don’t do things that are considered common amongst other black folks.
I cannot determine if you have a “genius level” IQ because you said you took a test. What test did you take? When did you take it? Are you in a STEM field?- +1 y
But they are common. I can’t recall the name of the test. I took it years ago in high school back when I was in a program for gifted children. I started school early as a child and I’ve always been a year ahead. I was recruited for a program for gifted children in the sixth grade. I remained in that program until I left in the 10th grade for financial reasons. I can’t recall the name of the IQ Test and I am not in a STEM field. I’ve been in spelling bees, mathletes, debate teams, honors and AP classes and more. I chose not to go into STEM, simply because I’m not interested in it. I am in college, I’ll be graduating in may and I’ve been on the deans list almost every semester. Not to toot my own horn, but I’m a smart bitch.
Asker+1 yThat’s cool. I’ve been on the Dean’s semester twice now. About to be 3 times. Doesn’t make me intelligent.
You cannot determine if it’s common from your experiences alone. I’ve determined what’s common because I’ve researched it. It’s common for black people to like rap music, watch basketball or football, talk about politics, etc... I’m saying that I don’t usually do that, so it’s hard to find other black people that have the same interests as me. If that’s so, then why care about dating within my own race?- +1 y
Dude, I am literally a fellow black person, who shares your interests. We exist. NERDY BLACK PEOPLE EXIST. They are everywhere. If you want to date outside your race then do it, but you don’t have to use stereotypes as your excuse.
Asker+1 yI didn't SAY THEY didn't EXIST. I said that I shouldn’t have to mesh with other common black folks by becoming common myself. Being a nerd is not common. Sorry to break it to you. I’m not justifying anything.
- +1 y
Being a black nerd is common as hell. Even some of the most “gangsta” and “thuggish” black people I know are into some nerdy shit. People are multi faceted. Black people can like rap music and anime.

+1 yEverything you named off isn't about race its just what your into. Find a person like minded can be your race or another. As far as your question goes the point if dating your own race usually comes from culture norm, religion, family values, family influences. Many people have different reasoning. For me for example people in my family have mixed with all kinda of races and frankly they got some weird lookin children. And I didn't want that so I went to my own race for kids. May sound a little racist I don't know lol but I've dated mostly black and brown men.
00 Reply 479 opinions shared on Dating topic. That is a bit narrow-minded since we are all different and that is what makes us interesting. Nobody thinks the same and to generalize that everyone of around the same color thinks and believes in the same thing... Is so short-sighted in their perception of others. That would be like saying all Black people look the same and adamantly stick that fallacy.
I prefer to be with a girl that I have enough in common to easily relate with her. She is different and that is what I find interesting. Now, when it comes to business, I must have a diverse team that includes a heavy presence of those from the culture I wish to market to. However, the way you concluded it to be pointless is highly biased.00 Reply

Who you date is your choice, no problem. But don’t sound like those same people
that would broad brush you just as easy as a comment can insinuate most blacks

or fashion preferences instead of attaching a color label to a issue?00 Reply1.3K opinions shared on Dating topic. are you saying race as in humans, because if yes you might have an issue finding snake girls on earth, but if you are talking about being black and dating a black, then you don't need to do that, date a fellow otaku girl, who is Asian, or anything, bro, date who you want, not who you're told to.

Asker+1 yI’m an Uncle Tom because I don’t like to watch basketball all day long? I know you usually respond with low IQ responses (generally people who are racial purist do have low IQs) , but I simply don’t even understand this logic. It’s like there is no logic at all in this post.

You're the same dude with the I. Q. B. S. all time. Look, dude, I know you don't like being black already; too bad you're gonna die belonging to the black race. Nothing can't ever change that no matter what you do. Get over yourself.
Asker+1 yI don’t like being black because I don’t like to watch sports and do things that typical black people do? Are you hearing yourself?
- +1 y
Look, man I not talking about damn sports. You don't have to like sports or music. But I have seen enough of your post seeming like you don't want to part of black people in the general sense, that's why you always bring up this I. Q. B. S. to hide behind it.
Asker+1 yThat’s because I value IQ over everything. There are black people who have high IQs. There are definitely black people who have a higher IQ than I do, I’ve met them before. I’m saying that I don’t relate to what most black people like to do. You obviously don’t care about IQ because you don’t have a high IQ yourself nor do you want to improve society by aiding the high IQ. What values are me and other black people suppose to share? Do you know any black people that care about intelligence as much as I do?
- +1 y
Yeah yeah.. you want me to care about shapes and puzzles and answer questions in a timed manner. ✌
Asker+1 yIt’s more than that. It shows who will be able to progress society forward and who won’t. Pattern recognition is the most important thing to understand in order to do well in STEM fields. They will create tomorrow while you and I just sit here and watch. We both don’t have the intellectual capacity to understand their work, unfortunately. Some people choose to cope with this reality by educating theirselves in easier topics, others cope by becoming jealous of those who have the gift. There is no need for culture or race. There is only need for the high IQ.
Asker+1 yYou never answered my question either. Do you know any black person that cares about intelligence as much as me? If not, how are we suppose to share the same values? Or is that too complex for you to understand?

Asker+1 yBruh what? LOL how.

Okay, I will briefly play your little game, racist asshole. You speak of values and cultural differences and attribute them to race. You speak of caring about intelligence, implying black people are less intelligent. Which is hilariously ironic, because you as a racist by definition, are the opposite of intelligent.
If this was truly about values and intelligence and hobbies and all that, you wouldn't be worrying about race. You'd just worry about finding someone who shares your values, interests, and who's intelligent. You wouldn't care one second about whether they're black or white or yellow. You're full of shit. You're making this about race because you want to.
Next you will tell me some pseudo-rational bullshit about statistics and empirical observations and yadda yadda, to justify your retarded racist beliefs. Nah. Forget it. This is all about you. This about the kind of people you choose to associate yourself with. This is your racist mindset.
I'm not buying you bullshit. This is not about sharing interests and values and intelligence (which you clearly lack, since you believe in racist crap). This is about race. Because you make it about race. Because you're a racist piece of shit.
Alright, the lecture is over. I will not continue to play your game of innocence any further. You may shut the fuck up now.
