Girl I have chased for 3y has cancer and puts forth no effort should I give up?

Okay I have chased this girl for 3y and last feb she told me she was in love with me and wanted to be with me. Here is the problem, first she is still with her baby daddy, second she is telling me she has ovarian cancer and wants to get it taken care of before she leaves him to be with me. Now her and I have always had this connection and we have never done anything. I go out if my way to bring her things and treat her good and she tells me because of me she realizes how she should be treated, but I have been paying for all her medical treatment and the only time I see her is when she is getting money from me, she literally has put no effort forth and im not expecting a whole lot just because she is constantly bleeding and that makes you extremely tired. I really dont want to give up on her but im feeling like this is getting out of hand. There is no reason for her to not put any kind of effort in, I mean hell even just a sweet text or phone call would do but no. She will take hours to respond to a message sometimes and all of this is just driving me crazy and making me feel like a loser
