Do your prefer love or money?

We all want love in our lives, the kind our dog gives us plus the sex from the human. But please be very honest, most if not all of us would choose money over love if we had to pick one. Reason for this is money buy everything, so if it gets bad just buy a dog and go on random dates, get some sex go home and swim in cash. Live like a bachelor/bachelorette until you die in your pile of money one day. No better way to go out than to be found swimming in cash, rotten corpse all sprawled out but still fabulous. Am I right? That's what you call rotten rich.

I mean, spoiling a mound of money by being a rotten corpse on it doesn't have much appeal to me. I'd rather die with a net worth of zero and have all my assets going to causes and organizations I want to support - like community gardens, animal shelters, and maybe even set up a trust fund to pay for pro-bono services so my psychologist can offer free sessions to people in need (as she has done for me).

I'd choose money because having "love" set for you sounds like something out of a dystopian YA novel.

With money, I have one less worry and more time and mental space to build loving relationships that are real. And I can treat my love to things without worry.

So, yeah. Money. And make sure I die broke as fuck (but paying for all my own cremation and funeral costs, and a fucking spectacular feast at my wake - people should be crying over how good the food is more than how sad they are at losing me).

I have both.
I have money. Met my boyfriend. He didn't have a job. That didn't bother me. I insisted we date... well, we got put together through GAG.. yes, GAG here...
He turned out to be okay with money.
We are not putting our resources together.
So we both have love and money.

Thats a real hard one. Both can give you temporary happyness but can also deceive and hurt you.
With money you can travel, buy stuff, have wealth etc. but as cons you'll get hunted by golddiggers, it brings greed, and brings work and stress or can change your mentality.
With love you have a person who you trust, can do stuff (like go out, travel, get intimacy) together with, someone who understands you etc. but as cons an ideal partner is a fantasy, you rarely share the same interests and are soulmates, love blinds you and you take dumb decisions, you can get heartbroken

Love? It's a real treasure and exceptionally rare these days.
Now if she's a middle class career businesswoman, then I choose love. We'll be rich together 😁

But if she's a financial disaster (by her poor choices that is), then I choose money of course. Money is paramount for mere existence and survival. No amount of money can fix living financial disasters.

To me it's all about love and support. I could have all the money and security but no one to spend it with, it means nothing. I'd rather be homeless. For fun, in last Christmas, the main character did not have a home, she was basically homeless shacking up with other friends

Why? Simply because, there is humility, gratefulness and a true genuine desire to connect with and be with each other.

Let's put it this way. If she were homeless and I was simply a dishwasher, she would love me for me, but if she was a woman looking for money I would not be given the time of day.

this is an issue for me, because if I have no love in my life I feel like I have no purpose in life so might as well die, but what the point of having love if you can't spoil them, if you are too poor to give you partner a gift it would be just as miserable if not more miserable as not having a partner in the first place. so if I have to choose then I either choose both or death, that is unless I could just get a sugar baby, but I don't know if I want someone who is only in it for the money.

People who say love, seem to think the question assumes that they would get to keep the amount of money they currently have (and live comfortably with).

But that's never the question, the question is zero love vs zero money.

Ehh, based on your description neither. I don't want dog-like loyalty or a pile of cash without companionship... I've had both, and they're about as filling as a small can of chicken noodle soup. Sure, it's technically food, but all you really get is some salty broth with some chunks in it. It needs something more for both/either.
