Well, 35 is not a hard and fast rule, but to quibble about the exact number is to miss the point. There IS an expiration date, and older pregnancies do have a higher chance of Down's Syndrome, Autism, etc.
@Curmudgeon Thanks for educating me but I did research in genetics as an undergraduate and I already know everything that you said, and more. I merely responded with a correct answer to a poorly articulated question. If the question bothers you, take it up with @nella965.
I honestly think people are making it out as a bigger deal than it really is. Thats what bothers me. It only goes from 0.5% risk to 1% risk. Not that much. My mom gave birth to me at 37 and my brother at 40. We both turned out fine.
According to the video , it only goes up from 0.5 % to 1%. Even if it goes up to 5% risk at age of 40, it’s still not significant. It’s definitely still safe for anyone 40 and under to have kids. But 40 and over wouldn’t be as ideal
People constantly say on here that women grow infertile after 35. But then the video shows female fertility only drops from 86% at age 27 to 82% at age 37.
82% of getting pregnant is considered infertile to you?
No ma'am. I am the little voice in the back of your head telling you what you already know to be the truth. I am here to annunciate the truth about the crazy "woke" folks and the cancer that they are.
The odds are still completely on the woman's side. Percentages are FAR HIGHER than at 25, but they are almost in the NEGATIVES with young women. With older women they are in the pluses, but still extremely low. I think it goes to show that the human body is made for successful reproduction for a long time with only a miniscule number of glitches. I mean, we have 7.5 billion people living today. Only a tiny percentage had significant challenges.
Yes. I researched those facts when I was in my late 30s and considering pregnancy. I didn't know about the old data, which IS amusing, but I found out what i needed to know and proceeded accordingly. Everything was easy peasy. Had my son at home with a midwife. Great experience.

Its surprising how the video mentions that risk of birth defects only go from 0.5% at age 27 to 1% at 37. I wouldn't say thats much at all.

The fact that you and you brother were born without birth defects only proves that the risk for older mothers is less than 100%.

I would need to know how that statistic is calculated. I agree that the risk expands considerably beyond age 40.
The sources are put onto video in white, if you would just pause the video at certain points
No, absolutely not. smh
No, my ex is living proof of that.
Uhm yes they can lmao
My mom is 39 when i was born
My mother was 41 when she had me👍
I know a woman who had a child at 50.
My mom had me when she was 44!!!
sorry I did my math wrong she was 46
Women can have kids in their fifties
My mother was older than that when she had me.
40 is usually the magic number for shitty eggs.
Old ugly men like you can't get anything else than a woman with shitty eggs. Younger ones go for hot young guys in their prime.
@nella965. Don't you have a BLM protest to attend or a building to burn?
@KrakenAttackin. Don’t you have dark murder fantasies all day , doing black voodoo?
There’s literally nobody on here who is as bitter and sad as you
@nella965. Ha! You don't know the half if it.
so you're the problem, not other people. Focus on your own issues instead

According to research, that little voice in the back of the head has been proven wrong. Just take a look at the video and the sources.
No not at all it’s just risky
No, they can, but, it gets harder and harder to

Yeah
I had my twin boys at 41.
completely false. even 40 year olds have babies.
Two words: JANET JACKSON.
Untrue, but the risk of genetic defects goes up.
No that is obviously wrong.
No it isn’t true.
Nope
