Guy told me he's not feeling me like that after we met up for a first date?

I had been talking to this guy that I met on a dating app for about 6 weeks on a daily basis morning until night. We got along quite well and the conversation flowed. I used realistic pictures on the app - I even had one with very minimal makeup. He had me on Snapchat where I posted multiple videos and pictures. I genuinely do not believe that I look different in person to my pictures. In the past people have told me I look better in person.

When he first saw me he looked disappointed and the first thing he said was "You're taller than I thought you would be" (I'm 5'10 he's 6'2) even though I put my height on my dating app profile. He was acting fairly off for most of the date, a lot of the time it seemed like he didn't even want to look at me. Sometimes he was a bit rude and cold. There was one time where he went fast up the stairs far ahead of me as if he didn't want to be seen with me. Then when we were supposed to get food, all of a sudden an "emergency" with a friend came up and he was off. He said he would come see me later in the night, which was a lie. I didn't realise that I still had his hat, so I messaged him do you want your hat back?

He opened my messages and didn't reply. Then he eventually messaged me "I'm not feeling you like that. I don't like you romantically". That's perfectly fine, but I'm just a bit surprised because I don't believe I look different in real life. I made myself up and dressed up nice. The whole vibe he gave me during the date was like I was hideous or something. For him to go from messaging me constantly and being excited to meet me (he's been waiting for weeks) to just straight up aloof, distant and at times hostile.

Has anyone ever had a similar experience? Thanks so much.
