Would a socialist society be a disadvantage to ugly men?

Just something I'm thinking about.

Consider a socialist society. People are forced to pay high tax rates such that government can provide benefits to everyone such as free housing, college, transport and so on. Therefore, the women of this society, will have all their needs taken care of, regardless of whether they work hard or not. This means they won't select men based on his income and wealth. Instead they'll select men based on his looks.

For a good-looking man this won't be an issue. They can sit back, collect their welfare, chill, focus on their hobbies and women will flock to them.

But for ugly men, this is a terrible situation.

In a capitalist society where you have to work, provide value or become homeless at the very least an ugly man can rely on his talents and work ethic to become a doctor, lawyer and whatnot and marry a beautiful women 5-10 years younger than him. Not saying he would always outcompete a handsome guy with less money but at least he has a chance.
With socialism, the ugly man has no chance as far as dating beautiful women goes.

Good looking men are not going to have women flocking to them because they still dont have wealth and or status.

You are correct to say however that when the state becomes the provider for a single mother there is no requirement for a woman to maintain a partnership with a man.

But in a socialist society, even if a woman doesn't work and pay taxes, or maybe works a low paying job and pays minimal amount of taxes, she will still have her needs taken care of by the government. That's the point of socialism, everyone gets the same benefits regardless of how much you contribute.

haha, i can see why it would seem so but no.

Just to clarify. The ugly man won't have his sexual needs met. Socialism aims to close the wealth gap between a rich man and a poor man. It won't do anything to close the sex gap, for lack of a better word, between a 5'2 ugly man and a 6'2 model looking guy. Its easier to force people to pay taxes than force women who to sleep with.

@magiusX26 The gender of the people paying the taxes is irrelevant, the only thing that matters is whether or not the state will pay out to support a mother and child or not.
