If you have a really deep connection with someone, does the physical matter?

Just looking for your thoughts on dating and connections.

My question is, if you have a truly deep emotional connection with someone you’ve met online but not yet physically, does appearance matter so much?

Or does the emotional connection become more important?

sometimes, some people tend to idealize other people... and when they finally meet in person the "is not what I was expecting" situation, can happen

For meeting online first the personality aspect come first but eventually we start wondering about their physical look alsoEmotional connection can be made only form talking though

It stems from a lack of self-confidence following a previous emotionally abusive relationship.

Sounds like you need to take some time to work on yourself before getting into another relationship. But props on getting out of there, I know that can be difficult.
