Do guys care if a girl has genital herpes? Please read details before answering?

I was exposed to herpes in my 5 year relationship where I was cheated on consistently. This relationship ended back in 2018. As of 2019 I met someone new and hadn’t slept with them yet but found out I’ve been exposed to herpes.
The only person I was sleeping with for those 5 years was my ex. My gyno told me it can take years for it to show up on tests so we don’t know exactly when I was exposed but it was easy to tell who. I also have never had any symptoms so it’s like I don’t even have it.
When I told the guy I was seeing next he was fine with it. I’ve been with him since.
Things are a little rocky with our relationship though but I’m scared to leave him because I feel I have an obligation to tell anyone I date here on out that I have herpes. I don’t even know how to explain it without it sounding bad. It doesn’t effect me and I have no symptoms but I was still exposed to it against my will in that unfaithful relationship.
Would you turn a girl away if she told you this?

Tell me about it, my ex girlfriend gave me HPV and genital warts. She told me months after we had unprotected sex, by the time shebtold me I already had it so I had feelings for her already and I said oh well I'm in love with you already so what am I gonna do now.. The problem was that when I started to grow genital warts on my dick she didn't want to have sex anymore in fear she would get them again...

That kinda made me think and I wanted out, things started to go sour and then she told me that is I left her she was gonna kill herself.

So I called her mom and told her what she did and what she said and I kicked her ass out of my house.
I felt just like you did, like damaged goods, I have an STD. But then I met my wife, I told her right away but after we had protected sex. That I also burn my warts myself with liquid nitrogen and they got away. I also kinda displayed my knowledge when it comes to the bedroom, my experience. And I'm a hopeless romantic so she talked to her GYno and apparently the genital warts strain rarely causes cervical cancer so she felt more at ease. Her aunt had died of cervical cancer so it was in her mind.

I have been with her for 8 years now and even though I sometimes grow a wart and burn it she has never gotten HPV or tested positive..

So you never know what the future holds. All you can do is continue to live, you never know.. Your soulmate might be just around the corner.

You're right that you have an obligation to tell your sexual partners, but you can go on a few dates like you usually would without having that conversation. Herpes blows, you have it for life, even if it's dormant most of the time. On the other hand there are worse stds out there and comdoms would protect the guy and you from another unwanted std.

If a girl I was dating told me she has herpes I would stay with her if I was serious about her. If I only wanted to have some fun I wouldn't risk it.

There in that last part is the silver lining for you. Mr right will stay around, the others will not. This will cost you some free love, but it shouldn't cost you your life's soulmate.

Nah herpes pretty much least of anyone's concern often it does show no symptoms like you have said yourself.

To care about that, shows one don't actually understand herpes ain't a problem. Neither is genital.

Yeah the people on here telling me it’s gross and stuff makes me nervous to go into any new relationship because of it but it honestly really is so common. So many people like me have it and it doesn’t show up on tests right away so a lot of people don’t even know

I wouldn't worry about it, just means hopefully your more likely to find people who educated themselves. Some people even think pearly penile papules are a some sorta disease and other weird things people just don't realise are normal pretty much.

So the test was positive? What made you get it, just a random test? Just curious. Well it's not a good thing (just like if it was reversed, you'd have some reservations also right?), but not necessarily a "deal breaker" (if what I think I know about it is correct? lol). I'd want to research it more before we had sex. But any guy you're with should definitely know about it. Not your fault, but doesn't change that you have it.

I don’t have any symptoms and I never had. I was told it less likely to spread from female to male although it does happen like it did to my ex. I’ve been with this guy for almost 3 years now and never spread it to him and we have sex almost every day.

Understandable but if someone doesn’t get outbreaks or effected by it at all I just don’t see how it’s a big deal. It’s not my fault that I have it either it’s not like I was sleeping around. A lot of the population has it without even knowing since most people get no symptoms and tests don’t always show up positive
