Why did My ex changed my contact name into something that’s far from my name?

me and my ex still regularly talk and act like a couple just without a label. We been on and off for about 2 years and a half. He had always had my real name under his contact. So recently , for some odd reason one day he had asked me if I can call him to see if any phone calls was going through because he feel that maybe his calls was going straight to voicemail. He laid out his phone out for me to see and when I called , I saw the Nick name. I asked him wassup with the nickname and it’s far from my name and why all of a sudden? He started laughing and said it was nothin. I kept asking him of all name why choose that? My name is Cynthia and the name is zee zee
