Do men ever try to get girls emotionally attached to them?

So I've been talking to this guy not for too long now probably have known each other for about 2 weeks & I'm not sure if he's trying to get me to be emotionally invested in him. I have a suspicion that it's what he's doing but I'm not sure. Is this something men try to do?

Yes they do, even when all they want is to fuck you once and throw you away. They are sneaky manipulators capable of doing anything and playing with emotions just to get what they want. They call it being "a gentleman" or "nice" but it's just an act. Especially with what they say/text. Same way girls flirt with guys they never intend to sleep with. They KNOW it's wrong, but they don't care. So my advice is to completely ignore everything they say until it's followed with actions.
