Guys, Why won't the guy im dating commit after 4 months?

We have spent new year, valentines, extended periods of time over Christmas, his birthday and been away together yet he won't make me his girlfriend. He says he doesn't want to rush it as people get hurt. He says he is not dating or sleeping with anyone else but i know he still has dating apps. He spends his weekends with me or his parents apart from the time spent doing sport which takes up several hours over the weekend. His parents know all about me but i've not met them yet. His house is full of things belonging or given by me so i don't think he is bringing other people there. Another issue is he never stays at mine which is slightly irritating but i can live with it (this also isn't possible at weekends due to sport) Any ideas? What do i do?

Your someone he's using temporarily as a backup for comfort. He'd prefer to be with you instead of being alone. The problem with dating apps is most of the time the women have the upper hand with more options because guys will sleep with almost anybody. This creates women to think they can do better than what they actually can and creates a mismatch. More than likely he's somewhat significantly better looking than you so he'll keep you on the back burner and keep using his apps until he finds someone else.

The question should really be are you willing to take on this role? He'll deny it if you ask him but when he breaks up with you and break up with you he shall. Thinking back during that time you'll think of this message. Your options are break up with him before he does it to you or knowingly take this role and enjoy it while you have it. I've had this done to me as well by women, it's easy to spot when it's happening.

now for a reverse version of your question. why does a girlfriend do X thing that i desire her to do within the arbitrary timeframe i want it done in? again the answer is , you are a hunan being and do things at your own pace.

Are you sure you are the only one? Some men will treat any woman like a girlfriend until they find one who gives more sex. If they are desirable enough for women to actually date them, then they will take advantage knowing there are many more options they can trade up every year or so

Did you sleep with him? I'm guessing yes. And if so no doubt that's the reason why. If you slept with him before he committed there's no reason to commit. I don't know why thus is so hard for women to understand.
