My ex from a year and 1/2 ago wanted me to wait till he gets things sorted out in his life. We was still seeing eachother at this point. And I I was like ok because he couldn’t offer much commitment but we was still exclusive to eachother then and now after a year and half we get back in contact with eachother we meet up talk about stuff and he’s like I still can’t offer you commitment right now. I played it cool and I was like ok I’m not waiting we didn’t speak since we met. 4 weeks later it’s been playing on my mind so I sent him a message saying things are still the same so back then what did you even want me to wait for? Because I do feel as if he just used me even though he begged to get back with me last time. Confused as fuck

Sounds to me you already know the answer. He was happy having no commitment and leading you everyplace but down the aisle. I'm sure you also found that you saw no future excepted wasted years for someone to commit. As it happens sometimes, you wait and wait and then they go with someone else. i understand but my advice is dont drive ysf crazy trying to figure it out, some people are just a mess and not as good as they seem. You know all you need to know - he didn't treat you right
And you did not nothing wrong, he just wasted your time and will continue to do so
