I'm really nervous around my new boyfriend. To the point I can’t bring anything up. Is this normal and what can I do about it?

I started dating this guy but when I get around him I get extremely anxious. I'm just really nervous and I can't be myself at all. We've only been dating for 2 or 3 months, but I normally laugh, am very expressive, calm. But I just can't be calm around him, I just nervous laugh the whole time etc. Is this normal?

I just can't be super relaxed. Maybe it's butterflies, but he's very attractive to me so I think I'm very intimidated by him. Is there a way to get over this? He's also very serious as a person. I wish we could be better friends first but he thinks we had plenty of time. We started dating after a month of knowing each other. I don't know why I need so much more time to be comfortable around him? For example when he puts his arm around me in photos I'm still nervous.

What should I do? Is this normal for a relationship? He's also a real serious guy, but guess I'm also high-strung so it's hard for me. How can I relax and be myself? It's also preventing me from bringing up some relationship problems, like how he likes to be alone a lot etc.

I want to do my best. I'm just intimidated by him, that's all.

What should I do? thanks!
