Last week boyfriend stayed the night at a friend's house, ever since...weird actions?

I shouldn't complain, everything has been 100% perfect since the night he stayed away. If some of you don't know, I added a question last weekend about my boyfriend staying the night at a friends house, which he's never done since we've lived together, very much unlike him, trust me, I wouldn't freak out if I didn't have a reason to. Well, I took everyone's advice and decided to be sweet and happy to see him when I did get to see him the next day. I pretended like it didn't bother me at all and ever since this happened, we have been so great it's almost unbelievable. Now, I have two things on my mind, either he went and let out some frustration on someone else (another girl) (and please don't give me sh*t for these thoughts, I'm just nervous) or it's that that one night gave him time to think about us and how he treats me a majority of the time. Because now it's nothing but smiles and "I love you's" and greatness...now, this is not like my boyfriend, he is usually very hard headed, arrogant, moreso acts like he expects me to be there, doesn't really do anything to try and keep me around. But like I said, things have been WONDERFUL...

Is it too good to be true?

Guys-do you think he did something he shouldn't have done and possibly feels bad or did it and realized he loves me?

Or did he really just spend a night with his friend playing video games and just needed a night away to become this new great guy?

Too many variables we don't know. it could be absolutely anything, or even things you didn't think about... I am going to just list possibilities and maybe it'll broaden your perspective :)

He cheated on you and got it out of his system (this is what you currently are thinking)

He cheated on you and feels so guilty about it that he feels he needs to be better

He attempted to cheat on you but backed out because he felt so guilty.

He saw his friend's wife/gf treat his friend like crap and he appreciates you more

He went to a strip club and felt so guilty, bringing your relationship into perspective

He took a mind altering drug that made him re-think his future with you

He had a conversation with someone where he realized how good he has it.

There are probably thousands more things that could have possibly happened that night that I can't think of! Don't always jump straight to the bad ones.. I would say you could always ask, but if you go in with guns blazing trying to get a confession out of him for cheating and he didn't cheat.. you are going to look the fool and make him appreciate you less haha.. you could be like "whats with all this affection you've been giving me lately! I like it!" and see what he says!

Guys need guys nights out.

It may be to good to be true, but you need to understand that if something happened and he is playing you as a fool there is nothing you can do about it. The best thing you can do is ASSUME the best, always assume the best and know that you have been awesome by not freaking out on him and he is loving you even more for it.

If you really want to know, spend the night at a GF's house after a night of parting and see if he flips on you..with little to no texting, if he does, then he totally did something he shouldn't have. If he doesn't, then you have nothing to worry about.

He just needed a night away and you didn't make a fuss about him being gone but instead were happy and sweet to him when he reappeared which gave him an ego boost. Take it as a really good sign.
